One of My Favorite Scrapbook Pages!

I have been in the card "mode" for awhile, it seems I can't make cards AND scrapbook at the same time. I am getting behind on my scrappin these days! This is a layout I did a few months ago about my daughter. She finally discovered that she likes baby dolls! She has a favorite doll that she mysteriously named "Gloria!" Not that I don't like the name Gloria, but I know NO ONE with that name! Not a family member, friend, teacher, or aide! And NO she has never heard the song "Gloria!" Beats me! So Gloria now has her own doll bed, wardrobe, and probably more accessories than me! (OK maybe I'm exaggerating a wee bit! LOL)

Another baby card...It's a Girl!

A teacher I work with just had a baby girl and I wanted to make her a girly card. I borrowed this SCS set from my Mom-in-law and embossed the image of the Christening gown. I wanted it to have a vintage feel so I distressed and inked, used my sewing machine, ripped and even inked my pink ribbon. I added the rhinestone to give it that extra girly touch. Love those baby cards!!

What a great Mail DAY!! 2more days 'till blog candy!

I came home from work and had all these little goodies in the mail today!! I got my very first RAK card from Charmaine at Oodabug Alley! http://oodabugalley.blogspot.com/index.html IT is a gorgeous card, and I am so excited to have gotten it! Thanks so much Charmaine!!! I also got more stamped "Maudes" and some Bellas from my friend Karyn. She went above and beyond what I would have expected, cuz she stamped a ton! Thank You! Blog Candy...and a new card!

I am so excited that through this blog candy, I met some new friends! That's really what it's all about isn't it? I feel like there is a whole world out there when I get on the computer...Like my own Narnia! (MMMMMM...possible banner name?...)We didn't do a whole lot yesterday afternoon...cleaned...did a little laundry...and of course....MADE some CARDS!!!! Here is one of them! It was a stamp from HAMBO! I thought this little guy was adorable! I will have to make more, simply because he makes me...smile! Had some old scrapbook paper (used for the background) that talks about boys and bugs...perfect! I showed my husband and he liked it except for the twine...he thought I should take it off! I almost always use some type of ribbon on my cards...It's my thing!
