I guess I have Cortney on my mind these days so I figured I would post about her.......again! This page was done a few weeks ago. The pics are from Christmas. The paper is from My Mind's Eye. I also used my Cricut for the word, you. I added some vintage ribbon and buttons.
We have our interview at Misericordia tomorrow. Wish us luck that it goes well. I have such mixed feelings about all of this. I keep telling myself, "Take one day at a time." So that is what I am doing....
Have a great weekend everyone!

Celebrate Sweet n' Sassy Style!
This is a card I created using the birthday set from Sweet n' Sassy. I paper pieced the balloons using new paper from Making Memories. I inked the edges and added glitter to them. I added "string" to the balloons! The polk a dot paper is also Making Memories. I machine stitched it. I added some black ribbon. The Celebrate metal sign was actually red, so I painted it white. I painted it several times, while the last coat was still wet, I sprinkled glitter on it.
On a personal note, Cort's chair is STILL not right! The back is coming off and completely loose! And to top it off, I called the wheelchair company last Thursday, yesterday and again today! No return call. So my daughter's therapist recommended that I threaten them and tell them that I will call the insurance company about this faulty chair. This is a huge liability for them and the wheelchair company if something happened. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a call back! So AGGRAVATING! UGH!
Enough venting........back to my "happy" place.......

Artful Inkables and a Sketch Challenge!
A couple of weeks ago SCS had this as their sketch challenge. I had just received my order of new Artful Inkables stamps! I colored these cute images in with my Copics and then cut them out. The paper is by Memory Box and SU! I added some ribbons and distressed the edges and it was done!
We finally have sun and warmer temps here in Chicago.....which only means now I HAVE to get outside and start some cleanup work and gardening. I can no longer put it off! Not that I am complaining.....just explaining! LOL! Have a great day everyone!

When the Shoe Fits....
Yep, this IS a card! This was Regina's newest challenge over at Bitten by the Bug. It was to use the shoe cut on the, "My Community" cartridge. (Cricut machine) I used Lasting Impressions and SU! paper. I inked the edges with Linen ink, added some lace at the top to look like little girlie socks. I also added the star brad. I think Converse shoes had the star didn't they? The stamp is by Inkadinkado. Head over to Bitten by the Bug to see the other fun "SHOE" cards!

Crafty Secret's Sketch Challenge!
This week's challenge at SCS/Crafty Secret's was to use a card designed by Melissa Phillips. (LilyBean's Paperie) I adore her work! She has such a knack for anything vintage! Her colors are always so soft and pretty. Anyway you can see her card HERE. I hope I did it justice! I used the bird set from Crafty Secrets and Basic Grey paper. I added some stitching, vintage ribbon, a felt butterfly, and Dew Drops. I colored the birds in using my Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol.
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!!!
