Cort and I were home today sick. I made an appt. with the doctor for tomorrow morning. Since Cort is in a wheelchair most of the time, she has a tendency to get bronchitis that has gone into pneumonia. I want to nip it in the bud before it gets to that point.
Since the weather has finally gotten better around here........in the 80's tomorrow! I decided to post another summery card. This is a High Hopes image that I've had for awhile. I love the High Hopes stamps.....they are all so cute! I colored the images in with my Copics. I cut the girl out and put her on a pop dot for a bit of dimension. I happened to have a sun brad and decided to use that too! I used my Nesties, a bit of twine, and a jewelry tag for minimal embellishing. I wanted the focus to be on my image.
Off to get a good night's rest and hope I feel better tomorrow. Have a fantastic weekend!!!!
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Let's Think Summer.....Shall we?
I now know why I've had a headache for the last two days......I have officially gotten a cold! So Cort and I are icky together! And of course the weather here in Chicago is finally turning into spring! Somehow that makes being sick even worse. A person should only be sick when it is cold and miserable outside, don't ya think? LOL!
So on to my card.....
I used this fun image from Crafty Secret's Creative Scraps. I truly adore these images. It makes creating a card so easy! I wanted to add a little something special to this card and decided on a Quickutz tree and fishing pole I've had forever! I tied very teeny string to the fishing pole and a quilled fish I made. The sentiment was created using my new JustRite Times New Roman stamps. I love that I can personalize a card anyway I want!!!

Hello
I am just going to post a quickie tonight. I am getting a terrible headache, and my girl isn't feeling too well tonight. No fever, but runny nose and coughing. I am going to have to watch her tonight, so if I need to take the day off tomorrow, I can call early enough.
Anyway, I created this card using the Crafty Secret's Sweet Kid's set. I used my Primas and Gamsol to color the image. I Cuttlebugged the background, did a bit of distressing, and added a pretty satin ribbon and button.

Sorry about the poor lighting, but the weather here is miserable! It has been cold and rainy here! (In the 40's) Ugh!
Off to go do a bit of comforting............. : )
1987
1987............ what were you doing then? Apparently, I was going to my homecoming! I was 16 in this photo.....although I think I look like I am 12! That is my hubby next to me. Yep, dated and married that guy! Although his waist size has significantly grown since this picture! LOL! (Ok...maybe mine has gotten a wee bit bigger, and "things" have redistributed a bit!) Don't ya just love that peach colored dress? Admit it, your jealous! : )
Oh yea, and the butt bow? Allllllll the dresses then had Butt bows!
I used Noel Mignon's Lovely Day's kit for this LO. The only thing I added were the Thickers and the Tim Holtz mask I used for the background. I love those things, just plop them down, and take your favorite spray paint and spray away! I used a brown suede paint here. (It really looks like suede IRL)

And really, 1987 DOES seem like a lifetime ago. Sheesh, where does the time go???!!
Happy Tuesday!!!

Peggy Loves Vintage! (and so do I!)
This week's challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was totally up my alley! We were given the pleasure of working with Peggy Loves Vintage images. You know I am all about the vintage!! : ) In conjunction with the image, we were to use the Inch bag from the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge.
The first bag I created was with this darling circus image. Simply print the images on cardstock and use them the way you would use any stamped image.
I tucked a couple of tags behind the image to write a little sentiment to the recipient. I also added some ric rac, a button, and some red floss to dress it up a bit.

This second bag was created using another one of Peggy's sweet images! I used some Graphic 45 paper, a glittery chipboard heart, a vintage button tied with ribbon. I also added a couple of stick pins in. This bag I decided to add ribbon "handles." Don't know why, just liked how it looked! Instead of adding tissue paper to the inside of the bag, I added white tulle. It looks softer, more feminine than tissue paper.
Stop on over to the BBTB site to see what the other gals came up with!
Have a wonderful Monday!
