Rainbow Flowers

Sometimes when I sneak off to my craft room, I start random things. Like water coloring pretty backgrounds.  Just playing with no end result in mind. I have a stack of water color backgrounds. Not sure what I will do with them exactly, but at some point I am sure I will find a purpose!

I went away a couple of weeks ago with my crafty girls and colored a bunch of images.  

Like this one from Crafty Secrets.  It is part of the Digital Button up set. 

I colored it with the Zig Clean Brush markes and added Stickles to the centers of the flowers.  I also added several coats of glossy accents to emulate water.   I saw this image with my rainbow water colored background and liked the two together.  I added a few sequins and a several colors of ribbon. 

I have to run again.....to school and for haircuts later today.

Life is Good...

Good morning!

 I hope all is well in your corner of the world!

I am up on the SRM blog today with a fun little coffee cup card by Jane's Doodles.  The set is called, Tea Time. I actually colored this images while I spent the 10 days in the hospital with Cort. I finished the card when I was home..

I cut it out using Spellbinder's pierced rectangles and added a bit of yellow ink at the tops of each. A button tied with string, a few sequins, and a sentiment from the We've Got Your Sticker-Birdie Plus collection, was all that was needed to complete my card. 

I am off to school again today to try and finish up my room!  So much to do yet and I am running quickly out of days!

Water Colors

Good morning friends! I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today with this little number.

My mother in law loaned me her set of Zig Clean Color Markers to see if I liked them.  Like them? I LOVED them!  So I placed an order immediately for them.  I love pinks and yellows together so created a wash for the background.  I splattered it with a bit of Acrylic white paint. 

    
Instead of glue I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's DODZ™ - Small
 to keep them in place.  I adhered the sentiment the same way.

To add depth between the layers, I used Crafty Foam Tape. 

I am setting up my classroom this week trying to get everything in order.  I wanted to make a comfy reading corner, so I got a brand new piece of carpeting donated and a few bean bags.  I am hoping to finish everything this week so next week our family can have a "staycation" of sorts before I return to school and Kyle heads off to college.  Time is flying way too fast for my liking these days!
