Goodbye 2020, Helloooooo 2021!

Hi friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
My son is on a countdown to January 5th, the day he leaves for boot camp.
2021 brings changes, promise, and the hope for a brighter future!
I have a fun card to celebrate the last days of 2020.
Nothing more fun than a beaver tubing right? ;)
The image is part of Whimsy Stamp's Winter Sports set.  I colored it using Copics and added snow using a white gel pen.  I cut the image using the Nested Hexagon Die set.
I added a few star gems and a fun pink ribbon to match the tube!
Happy New Year friends!
May 2021 bring you peace, health, and happiness.  :)

It's (almost) Christmas!

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve!
I have a quick post today since I have cooking to do and a house to clean! ;)
I used Whimsy Stamp's Jolly Holly Stencil with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. I framed the images with the Selfie Die set.  I also used the Slimline Scenic Countryside die for the frame. The background seemed to bare so I added kraft trees using the Tree Assortment dies.    The sentiment was placed on a tag from the Bookmark and Tags Die Set.   Stickles were added for a bit of sparkle here and there.
:)

Here are the supplies I used!
Have a wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas Tags

Hello friends!
Just a quick post today as I am heading to Misericordia to drop off Cortney's presents.
I created a couple of tags using Whimsy's Jolly Holly Stencil in various shades of reds, greens, and blues.  I added glossy accents and glitter to the berries.  The tag itself was cut out using the Slimline Fancy Frame Die.  I stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiment Strips set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Slimline Card and Changes

Hi friends, you may have been wondering where I have been.  (Or maybe you haven't) ;) The last few weeks have been challenging and emotional.  First off, this will be first Christmas since Cort was born that we will not see her for Christmas.  Misericordia has been trying so hard to keep the residents healthy, and they felt at this time, it would not be wise for the residents to come home.  I logically know it is best for her, but my heart aches to see her, kiss her, and get one of her great big bear hugs.  In addition, Kyle leaves for boot camp on January 5th. It makes me sad to know he will not get to see her before he leaves.  We have been trying to spend time together, knowing that our time with him at home is limited.  Which means more family time, and less crafting.  I know I will be a mess when he goes, and I am trying to prepare myself emotionally for that void that will be in my life soon.  I am so happy for him, and know in my heart it will be so good for him.  I am most certainly a proud Mama, but it doesn't make my heart break any less.
So now that you know the reason for my lack of posts, I did want to share this card that I created using Whimsy Stamp's Tweetie Pie set.
I colored the images with Copics.  The background was also done with a black Copic marker and given snow using a white gel pen and Stickles.
Each image was cut out using the Nested Hexagon Dies.  I used the frame from the Slimline Scenic Countryside die set.   I popped up the images using Shaker Maker Foam Tape.  I added a few sequins, ribbon, and a couple of jingle bells to finish the card off.
Only 15 days before this kiddo leaves for the Navy.  A piece of my heart will be going with him.
Thank you for stopping by!

Are You Yeti for Christmas?

Hello my fellow card makers!
I hope you are doing well!
I have a new card today using the adorable, Yeti for Christmas set by Whimsy. I colored it using Copic Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils.  I masked off the image and used a cloud stencil.  I added stars using texture paste and the Twinkle Cluster Stencil. I kept the layout simple by just adding some fun patterned paper from the Tartan Paper Pack.
Thank you for stopping by!

Whimsy Stamp's December Release!

Happy December!  Sometimes I feel like this has been the longest...and yet the fastest year ever!
25 days until Christmas!
So why not celebrate with a new release from Whimsy Stamps! This new Yeti for Christmas set is so much fun! I colored the image with Copic markers and added some colored pencil details.
I layered the image over some festive paper from the 6 x 6 Tartan Paper Pack. I added some Stickles to the snowy area and the elves' hats. I kept the card simple and just added a scattering of teeny hearts from the Sweethearts Sprinkletz pack.
Be sure to hop over to Whimsy Stamps to see their full December release!

Slimline Gossip Girls Christmas!

Hi friends!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! This year was very different for us, as I am sure it has been for all of you too. Cortney hasn't been able to come home since February, but she is happy and healthy at Misericordia.  No one came over for dinner, so we chatted on Zoom and had a glass of champagne together.  Through all of this chaos, I do feel extremely blessed.  As my grandmother used to say, "This too shall pass."
I've had a bit of time here and there in my craft room and used this awesome Gossip Holiday Girls set again.  I colored them in using Copics and added white flock for a bit of texture
I framed each girl using the new Selfie Die set in red and gold.  To "ground" the images, I used the Slimline Fancy Frame Die set and gave it a pinkish hue using Tim Holtz Festive Berries ink.  I splattered it with water.  I added gold sequins, silk ribbon, and gold jingle bells.
For added dimension, I popped everything up using Shaker Maker Foam Tape.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Be sure to pop over to Whimsy to see all of their new products!

Slimline Penguin Party!

Good morning friends!
Today it is feeling a bit wintery as we have gotten our first snowfall here in Chicago.
So how about a little penguin party to celebrate!
This adorable set is by Whimsy Stamps, called, Happy Feet.  Each penguin was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.
I used the new Funky Frames Die set.  Each frame was inked up with Tim Holtz inks.  I splattered a bit of water on it.  The background inside the frame was done in blues to create the sky.

The frame hangs on a teeny peppermint from the Santa's Treat Sprinkletz collection.

I popped up the frame and the penguins using Shaker Maker FoamTape.  For a finishing touch I tied a vertical red ribbon and gold jingle bells.

Be sure to head over to Whimsy to see their full November release!
Have a great day!

Whimsy Stamps November Release!

Hello friends!
How are you all doing? Staying healthy I hope!
I have this adorable new set to share with you called, Happy Feet.
I love these cutie pies! I colored them using Copics and cut them out using the Pierced and Stitched Circles Die set.  I added a few clear rhinestones from the Icicles Sparkletz collection.

I added a bit of interest to their scarves with a white gel pen.  A teeny heart was glued under the sentiment.  I continued the circles with coordinating colors.  A bit of glitter was added to give the snow some sparkle.  :)
Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy to see the full release!
