Michelle Weaver, Princess Matilda Loves to Stamp, sent me these cute Pug images, knowing I had a Pug named Bruno. I colored him in using my PRisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I looked at Bruno's picture to try and reproduce his coloring. He has a black face, which is a challenge, because when you are coloring you risk "losing" his eyes and nose! So I colored his snout a dark grey leaving some lighter shades. I used a little crystal effects on his nose. (Dogs' noses are supposed to be wet right?) I had this cute dog bone paper and just kept layering. I used the Fiskars rub on plates for the little paw prints. I used my scalloped heart punch on a shrinky dink and colored the back of it for color. IT actually looks better in person, it is a bit dark in the picture. I added some SU! hardware and a ribbon. Well Michelle, I hope I did this image justice! I sure tried! Thanks!
Since I am on a Pug kick I thought I would share this Layout with you. This is Bruno. I took these pics outside during the summer and thought they came out pretty well. The paper is Daisy D's, Creative Imaginations (I told you I use this paper A LOT!) . I used some Heidi Swapp tape and a Wild Asparagus title The paw prints were done with flock. His name is spelled out with some old chipboard from Lil Davis. See the tiny print of Bruno enclosed in the B? I had that done at a cool place on line called Moo Prints. Ever heard of it? They make tiny pics about the size of a microscope slide. They make 100 of these in a cute little box for $19.99. (You can choose 100 different pics!)
And last but not least, I won blog candy from Joslyn from, Here is What I Do. She is an amazing photographer and paper crafter. Check her blog out! Thank you so much Joslyn! I love everything! I even used the hardware on the Pug card above!
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Tin Box Creations for Scraptivity!
I subscribe to a once a month scrapbook kit, Scraptivity! I look forward to my "pizza" box every month filled with goodies! It always includes brand new products from various manufacturers. You get lots of paper, embellishments and a stamp set in a cute tin. (I am totally about the packaging....if it looks cute...gotta have it!) The stamps sets used to be by Gel-a-tins, but now it is by a company called Tin Box Creations. The images were colored in with my Prismas and gamsol. The sentiment and coffee beans were from My Favorite Things. The paper is all SU! except for the scalloped paper, which is Creative Imaginations. (If you haven't noticed I use this paper A LOT!) I did a little sewing, added a little ribbon, distressed, and it was a done deal.
I believe that Memory Maker's was supposed to call the winners by today....I didn't get a call. I have to admit I am disappointed and sad. I knew it was a long shot....but there was a small part of me that dreamed about winning. I have been submitting cards and layouts and have yet to be published. I keep doing it, but it is hard not to get discouraged. Oh well, I guess there is next year.....

Missy B. Stamp!
I bought a few of the Missy B. stamps awhile back and finally had time to play with them. Her stamps are so cute and whimsical! I stamped this cute cow with Palette Noir ink. I colored her face and the flower in with my Copics and added white and black flock to her body. I also added stickles glitter to the flower. The black and white paper are SU! The polka dot paper is by DCWV. I added the sentiment using Karen Foster's snap stamps. I punched a scalloped photo corner using an old McGill punch. I added a brad to it for some added interest. The ribbon was in my stash! ( I have all my ribbon sorted by color in glass jars...but unfortunately, have no idea who the manufacturers are!)

Bitten by the Bug Challenge!
This weeks Bitten by the Bug's Challenge was to use the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I decided on this cute fish. Maybe cuz it is summer and it is so hot....(can't wait to sit in a classroom alllll day with no AC!) The holes behind the fish are created by my Creative Memories bubble punch. I cuttlebugged the background and distressed it. I added a googly eye to the fish and the sentiment was created with Karen Foster's snap stamps. I realized looking at yesterday's post that I am on a pink and blue kick!

Thinking Christmas!
I just bought this Glad Tiding's set from SU! I love the fact that so many people are getting away from the traditional Christmas colors...red/green! I love pink and blue together! I cuttlebugged the background paper. I also had an old Sizzix embossing die that added a "frame" to the pink paper. It is pretty subtle. I then inked up the sentiment in bashful blue and in pixie pink. I cut out Cheers and added a pop dot underneath it. I added some sparkly brads and some snowflake ribbon. I now have a few cards handy for Christmas!
