As many of you know ( I apologize if I sound like I am repeating myself) my daughter, Cortney has severe Cerebral Palsy. When I had a girl 12 years ago, one of my dreams was to bake with my little girl. Due to her physical handicaps and mental impairment, this never became a reality......until now. Right before Thanksgiving, she kept saying, "Me bake." over and over. I jumped on that opportunity right away! I put her in her gait trainer and God bless her......she mixed, stirred, and better yet, enjoyed herself!
I used the Crafty Secrets, mini chef set. I colored her in with my Copics. The paper is SU! kraft, Flair, and Creative Imaginations. The ribbon is by Making Memories and Michaels. The buttons are by Foo Fa La. I had the picture redone in sepia. I had originally done this layout with the color picture. Well, Cortney had Hello Kitty PJ's on and a bright yellow chef hat. My husband took one look, shook his head, and said, "Waaaaaay too busy!" I actually think he was right. The sepia gives it an old fashioned look, just right for those Crafty Secret's images!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I NEED Summer!
I am finally trying to catch up on some scrapbooking! As you can see, I am a little behind! My goofy son was trying to put on as many tubes as possible. He jumped in the water and actually tipped over! Ahhhhh makes me long for those hot summer days! I used my Cricut for the title. Scenic route paper and chipboard border. The buttons and foam flowers were from a kit my girlfriend bought me at Sam's Club. I also used ribbon from Foo Fa La. Only 6 more months and it will be warm again.........

Another Tree house Image!
This is the other cute stamp that came in my set from Tree House Stamps. I was lucky enough to find this old scrap of KI Memories polka dot paper. It brought the green and blue SU! together nicely, I think! I used these sparkly brads from Doodlebug. I also added some liquid applique to the snow and some Sakura gel pen glitter.
Hope every one's new year celebration was fun!

This next RAK is from Corie. She outdid herself with this gorgeous card! The background is all glittered....which is right up my alley! Thanks so much Corie!
This next card is from Michelle Weaver. She has fast become another wonderful blogging friend! This gorgeous card was made using the Flourishes set. I love the gold ribbon underneath too! Thanks so much Michelle!
And this last card was made from my cutie pie son, Kyle. I am glad he still likes to create with me every now and then.......

Tree House Stamps
I recently won blog candy from Ashley Bowen. She has just started her own line of stamps called Tree House Stamps. This is her first set! It comes with this adorable snowman and a gingerbread house.....which I am hoping to play with next! There are bunches of sentiments to go with the images too! I used some scrap KI Memories paper, Lasting Impressions, and SU! I also used the Doodlebug glitter paper to punch the 2 hearts. I really liked the hat from Jolee's stickers, and decided to replace his usual hat with the sticker. IT was a perfect match and fit! I did some sewing too, which looks like I had been drinking heavily when I did it........honestly, Pepsi was all I was drinking! Good thing I don't work as a seamstress or something! Last but not least I used this "snow" that comes in a tube from Michael's. I added glitter to the snow.....cuz the more sparkle the better!
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New YEAR!!!! 2008.......YIKES!
