Happy Friday! Such a busy day ahead of me! Today will be the closing Olympic ceremonies at my school. The kids will get their medals today! After school, I have a "date" with my hubby......a very long overdue "date!" Just dinner, nothing fancy. But no children, and a chance to catch up and be adults. I am looking forward to it.....
I created this card using some old paper in my scrap drawer. I used Crafty Secret's Birthday Kids' set. The image was colored with Copics. I stamped the candles and cut each one out. I placed three of them behind the button/ribbon. (Cute right? For a little boy turning 3?) : )
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Just Rite's Blog Hop!
Today is the day for Just Rite's blog hop!! Wait until you see what the DT has cooked up for you!!! Total eye candy!!! I created a shaker card. I haven't made one of these in a looooong time! I stamped the sentiment twice, using Just Rite's Birthday Wishes Set. I cut the circles out with my Nesties and added acetate behind the pink circle. I used foam squares underneath, added some little flowers, and tacked that to my white circle. The paper is by Making Memories' English Garden line. I pulled out my trusty sewing machine AND those "antique" eyelets! LOL! (Remember how popular those were?)
Head on over to the other gal's blogs.....amazing I tell ya!!! Make sure you visit everyone's blogs.....someone has BLOG CANDY!!!

Using Yarn....
Since I think I have dabbled in every conceivable craft.....even knitting, (which didn't last very long), I have all of this yarn sitting unused in my basement. I decided to put it to use. I created several cards using yarn. So you will be seeing these creations over the next week. (Lucky you eh? )
For this first card I took a chipboard heart and wrapped it completely with a soft baby yarn. I added a Prima flower and button to dress it up.

I used some K & Company, Papertrey, and vintage papers. The buttons are by Papertrey. Have you noticed my obsession to doilies lately? Oh! AND I even sewed a bit for this card! (The poor machine has yet to sew a stitch of my clothing!)
*** Got my results from my X-ray.....completely normal. (whew!) So I guess the theory of having allergy induced asthma is the current diagnosis. Guess I will continue my Advair......
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! : )
Cousins...
Have you seen Noel's latest kit? Penny Arcade? It is filled with all kinds of vintage goodies! It has gorgeous papers, vintage book papers, playing cards, buttons, glittery chipboard pieces, and these gorgeous Maya Road stick pins. I think I died and went to heaven when I opened my kit! I created this for the NSD "Alter This" challenge on Noel's MB. I took this chipboard piece and created a wall plaque of my son and my niece. My niece idolizes my son and literally follows him around everywhere. He will grumble from time to time, but I know he really eats it up! They have always had a special bond....... : )
*** And just an FYI for inquiring minds.....I went for my X-ray today. I should get the results by Wednesday or Thursday. I am taking Advair and that seems to be helping. I am still coughing, but not as bad. So I'll let you know what the X-ray shows......or doesn't show! : )
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

Ruff Day?
I can't believe, once again, that it is Sunday night already. That means a busy week ahead of me. I love this time of year in 5th grade......field trips, field day, and tomorrow we are celebrating Olympic week. Chicago is a candidate for the 2016 Olympics, so all week we are holding our own version of the Olympics. My class is "Russia." We will be wearing red and white tomorrow with our banner and little flags. Tomorrow is Opening Ceremonies! How many people's jobs get to do this kind of fun stuff? : )
On to my card......I can't tell you who the image is by because my friend Simone let me stamp some and I obviously wasn't paying attention. Probably too busy talking and laughing! So of you know who it is by, please leave a comment for me! I used my Fiskars template for the paw prints and my Nesties.
I did cut out the dog twice and raised his body with pop dots for some dimension. This way, I was able to slip his green bone between his lips. (Do dogs have lips? I think so......) The sentiment was done using my Just Rite Times New Roman stamp.
