I love these flowers, so I made bunches of them......and will have other projects down the road using them! So here is a little tutorial on how I created them! : ) Gather up your inks, Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II stamps and dies, and cross stitching fabric. Now, since many people may not have the PT sets, you could do this with any flower stamp you have on hand and a good pair of fabric scissors! I stamped loads of them!!!
I cut them into smaller squares before die cutting them. (Or cutting them with scissors!)
Here is my pile of leaves......and a few stray flowers that have been cut!
Once your flowers are cut, you are ready to make them dimensional and sparkly! Here is what you will need.....glue and a clear glitter. I used Martha Stewarts. : ) This is my FAVORITE glitter and use it for MANY of my projects!
Here is my flower before.......
And here it is all slobbered with glue! You will get a bit "gluey" in the process..... : )
I pinch the bottom of my flower and start to pull my petals down and curl them......
Here is my flower "curled." And yes, my glue is still there........
Then, just dump a whole lot of glitter over your flower......
Once it is dry, shake off the excess glitter and embellish your flowers.....stack them.......whatever! The great thing is, the glue dries and holds the flower's shape!
I will be home today with Cort (she is on spring break) and painting wood work in my bedroom. (We ripped down wallpaper and are in the process of repainting!) Sounds fun doesn't it?
Oh, and my washing machine is broke....along with my computer.....AGAIN......and my van needs MORE repairs. Seriously? Enough with stuff breaking on me! I keep reminding myself it is just stuff.......right?
: ) Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday!
Those flowers are just stunning!!! loveeeeeeeeeeeee this michele! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
