Okay, I'm going to tell you upfront that I was told by my son, immediately when he viewed his card, that it was too "girly." Now in my defense, I did pick a frog. My son was obsessed with frogs growing up. His favorite stuffed animal was a frog. He currently has a pet frog. Maybe it was the polka dot ribbon that put him over the edge? It certainly can not be my "manly" frog! ;) And look at that very long fly catching tongue! A tongue only a boy could appreciate right? (Work with me people!)
Maybe I should have added a fly for this guy to eat. And I suppose the polka dot ribbon was a bit too much. Maybe I'll get it right when he turns 17. ;)
And here once again is my card critic. The frog loving boy who just turned "Sweet Sixteen." Oh wait, I think that is just for a girl right? What do they call it when a boy turns 16?
Have a great day!
: D
I think it is a very manly frog...but since I also have a 16 year old boy, I totally understand. You just can never please a teenager. He probably really likes it but is afraid to say so.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is a VERY cute card, that is for sure!
ReplyDeleteto funny. I love your MANLY frog.
ReplyDeleteI love it! He's a teenage boy, goodness forbid he lets anyone know he appreciates the gesture, right ;)
ReplyDeleteI think he's wrong...there's no pink, glitter, bling...no girliness anywhere. What 16 year old boys are...too sensitive and protective of their burgeoning machismo. I have an 18 year old...this too shall pass. Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteLove the cute card. Actually you are very lucky he even looked at the card. Most at that age just rip the envelope open, rip the card open, grab what's in it and throw the card down. Enjoy the day and enjoy the age!
ReplyDeleteIts because u used red n made a bow haha. but i thinks its cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute but I don't think you will ever get him to admit it! Regardless, i hope he has a wonderful birthday, and I hope Cortney is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI think they call it trouble! lol(driving alone) I think it's a very handsome card.
ReplyDeleteAfter having 3 boys myself I'd say it should be 'sweaty sixteen'!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Hope your son has a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore it!!! He will treasure it -- when he's a tad bit older -- so put it in his "book of remembrances". (Don't call it a scrapbook -- he will grimace for sure!)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have one JUST like it for my birthday!
