Birthday Greetings.....

Good morning! You may have noticed  I've been absent a bit this week.(Or maybe you didn't!) ;)
Cortney ended up in the hospital for 3 days with a nasty staph infection to her knee.  She had 9 rounds of IV antibiotics and sent home on 7 more days of Keflex.  It was a difficult 3 days, and I have a new appreciation for parents who have children that are sick.  It was emotionally draining. She is finally starting to feel better and her knee is healing.
My son also graduated high school this week.
So there have been lots of tears this week....some tears of worry and some full of joy.

I know you didn't stop by to hear all about my personal stuff....so let me at least give you something pretty to look at. ;)
I had created this card for SRM Stickers awhile back.  It uses a stencil and various Papertrey Inks.  I loved the softness of the colors, so I adhered the birthday greeting on vellum.  The flowers were created with tissue paper.  I added a bit of coordinating twine and a few sequins.

And here is the graduate with the hubby and myself.
I love this kid.
I am so proud of him.
His next chapter begins......
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers too.  It has been a rough week for sure, but hopefully the black cloud we've been under is starting to drift away.
I am in desperate need of sunny skies.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
I will be back tomorrow with a card for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!

  3. So good to hear Courtney is better. Love this card you have done, so soft and feminine. Makes me think of spring and the soft colours that start to appear after a harsh winter.
