Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Yesterday we celebrated my dad's 70th birthday!
I created as manly of a card as I possibly could! Masculine is not my strong suit! ;) I feel lost without ribbon and glitter! LOL!
I used a Lawn Fawn number die with water color paper and while the die was in place sponged Tim Holtz inks on top of it. I splashed water on it to get the cool pooling effect.
The numbers 7 and 0 were given a coating of black enamel as well as the birthday sentiment from Spellbinders. I added a piece of acetate behind the panel, some foam tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and a generous helping of sequins to create the shaker element.
I took a few pics from yesterday.....and this one of my dad and Cort is my favorite!
My sister, dad, and I.
My dad with the four grandchildren.
I am off to work!
Thank you for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful season! cm
Love this idea to highlight the years old the person is, so neat you made a shaker out of it too! Looks like a great day of celebrating!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card for your Dad! Bet he loved it! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou and your dad and Cortney all have the same smile. What great pics! I didn't know about black enamel, but it sure looks neat on your card, so I followed your link. So many times I'm following links to Simon Says Stamp. They've got lots of good stuff! Anyway, I love your card. You're so good with the watercolors.
