Cortney and I have been fortunate enough to be a part of an amazing campaign called, Changing the Face of Beauty. Katie and Steve are amazing people who have given our children a voice. A chance to shine, and be viewed in a totally different light. Channel 7 news just aired this piece this morning and I wanted to share it with you. Just click on the link to be taken to Channel 7 new's website.
What a great story. I am glad they are finally seeing OUR children as we do. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! What a great news story!
ReplyDeleteIt's always been quite obvious to me that she is beautiful - both inside and out. After all, she has a beautiful Mama who has helped make sure she is confident, beautiful and blessed. What a sweet story, and thanks for sharing.

I loved this clip. I had a big ole smile on my face for Cortney. It was nice to see and hear you as well. What a great campaign.
ReplyDeleteGreat story for all! Each person's light was shining!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful campaign! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYour Cortney is a stunner - how could we not see the beauty within her! BTW lovely to see and hear you too on the TV clip!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I remember a boy with Down's Syndrome who was on my grandson's basketball team (my son-in-law was the coach) who put all his effort into playing. I loved to watch him play---the very last game, he scored a basket and everyone there stood up and cheered. I still get tears just thinking of his reaction-the joy he showed was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story! Kudos to Kaite and Steve for all the great work they do. Both you and Cortney look great!-Tracy P.

ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful story with us. I agree with this campaign. People need to see our special children for what they are and not for what kinds of disabilities they have. My best wishes for you and your beautiful daughetr.

Absolutely beautiful! I love the clip & how happy Cortney looks! My biggest congrats on being part of such a wonderful campaign:) I also love Cortney's outfit - especially her funky bow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Michelle. I think you started this campaign a long time ago yourself, ever since I have been following your blog I see Cort in a different light. I don't see her as a girl with disabilities, I see her as the beautiful girl that you see, the one you share with us. Proms, dances, first kiss and girlfriends. You have put a face to disabilities, a beautiful face full of beauty, wonder and joy. We are richer for your sharing her with us. Congratulations to both of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the link... Cortney looked as beautiful as ever!! What a great story and such a wonderful campaign!!
