Blog Candy is now CLOSED
It is hard to believe how fast this year has gone. I think that is a sign of getting older! ; )
This has been a year of change, some good, some not so good. But if nothing, I have learned to roll with the punches, and not sweat the small stuff. I have learned that laughter IS The best medicine, and to ALWAYS appreciate what you've got. My life isn't perfect, but for me, I have the perfect life. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Last year I made these little ditty's for the Cricut Circle Magazine. It was a little New Year's invite and treat bag. ( I really should have filled the treat bag for the photo. : (
I used a variety of cartridges here, Boys Will be Boys (numbers), Simply Charmed (Champagne bottle), and the Picturesque Cartridge (Card shape).
I also used the Number Collage embossing folder for the purple background. I wanted to give the champagne a bit of pop, so I added purple tinsel to the top of the bottle.
Now to celebrate the change of year, how about a little giveaway? It is my way of saying thank you for a great year! For supporting me, and visiting me.
ONE winner will get ALL of this!
What do you have to do?
Tell me if you make New Year's resolutions. If you do what are they?
If you would like a second chance to win, you can do any of the following:
Become a follower, post my giveaway on Pinterest, Facebook, or your blog.
Come back and leave me a second comment telling me you do so, and your name will be entered twice!
A winner will be selected this Wednesday, January 2 at 10 PM CST.
GOOD LUCK!
HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS!!!
XOXOX
Great project! No...I don't do New Years resolutions. I think they set you up for failure. Wonderful giveaway...love to win!! Lee-Ann :)

Aha ... I'm right there with you on this "soon to be" past year - full of Ups 'n Downs. I don't make resolutions, however, I LOVE the thought of a NEW YEAR. Happy Happy one to you and all.
ReplyDeleteAnd, how in the world was I NOT a follower before... can't have THAT in my New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't make New Year's resolutions. However throughout the year if I feel I need to I will make commitments. Those seem to be easier to follow through with than making a bunch on New Year's Day. A very nice gift you are giving away and would love to win. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteCute project. I don't make any New Year's resolutions. I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteCute! I always have "goals" to make New Years cards and can't even get that done! Better stop with the resolutions!
ReplyDeleteHave been a follower for several years now and read your blog every time there is a new post. I love your creations and also reading about your life. We all have ups and downs and I like the way you handle yours. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution is to get my scrappy stuff in order/organized. I spend way too much time looking for things instead of crafting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at your great give-away.

ReplyDeleteLove that project...wish I was with it enough to have made one for this new year! I hope to live one day at a time and to the fullest. It's been an incredibly rough few days, so I appreciate your note about appreciating what you have!!

ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway. Last year I made a resolution to ride 500 miles with our local bike club so I could earn a plaque. I rode almost 800 miles. This year, my resolution will be to ride 1000 miles. I'm pretty sure I can accomplish it, but it will be a challenge. That's the only resolution I will make...my one little word for this year will be "SHINE". I always do that...last year was action, this year is "shine". Thanks again for the chance to win the giveaway, I always enjoy your posts!
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions. Happy, Healthy New Year to you and yours!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm already a happy follower :) Thanks for the sweet giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do make resolutions...do I always stick with them?...no. I did do better last year, my resolution was to have a clean and organized home by 2013, well, it is much better and still a work in progress but I have come up with a plan and been able to stick with it and keep up on what I have done and so my resolution for 2013 will be to continue the progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at the great give away!

ReplyDeleteI don't normally set out to "resolve" anything, but I do set goals from time to time. The goals I've set this year so far are all blogging related.

Cute Projects! I always say I'm goin gto workout more, sign never happens. Maybe this year will be the year! I became a follower! Love your blog! Now to go and Pin IT! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteI don't make New Year's resolutions any more, but I have become a goal setter. So when I set a goal at any time during the year, I have learned techniques to help me reach those goals. A certain job, a number of books to read, a household project to complete, etc. A good friend of mine talks to me about positive thinking techniques which help.
ReplyDeleteHi! I used to do Resolutions and failed to keep them. This year after thinking about it, I'll make goals instead. Goals seem easier, one of course is doing more cards, pages and more work on my stitching. Thanks for the opportunity for this great prize. Happy New Year, to you and your family
ReplyDeleteI do not make resolutions. I tell myself that I have a new chance to start all over and to be a better person each year. Thank you for the chance to win such a nice prize package. I am a follower so please enter me twice!
ReplyDeleteok, maybe I am supposed to enter twice if I am a follower ! LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions. They just make me feel bad when I don't keep them.I do try to help others more each year. Happy New Year to your beautiful family. I am a happy follower of your blog and love all you do. Thanks for the chance to win some awesome prizes.
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions but I would like to stop purchasing so much scrapping stuff. That's why it would be awesome if I won these items. I have none of them. Good luck and happy crafting in 2013. Love checking out your blog every day. Gratitude is always first on my list of daily things to do.
ReplyDeleteI always make a resolution to lose weight - every year. Obviously if I keep making the same resolution year after year I don't keep them : )
ReplyDeleteI don't do New Years resolutions-when I did - I always failed. :(
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy New Year!

Thanks Michele for another awesome giveaway. My New Years resolution is to be grateful for all I have and to try and get more of my scrapbook pages completed.
ReplyDeleteGreat decorations. Love the purple! I haven't made NY resolutions for a while since they're so hard to keep. It's good, however, to have some goals in mind. That's a very generous giveaway you're providing, so thank you for a shot at it! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI've never followed through with New Year's resolutions so I just don't make them anymore. One day at a time! Awesome giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year & Thanks you for hosting this nice give-away! As for New Years resolutions, sometimes I make them and sometimes I don't. This yr. I am going to try to eat healthier & to take/make more time for myself. I could make a few more resolutions but better keep it short & sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
Janis
Happy New Year!! And what a wonderful way to start someones new year!! No, I don't make any serious resolutions...unless you want to include going on a diet....which I make everyday of my life!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to all! I hear so many say I never make resolutions..they just set you up to fail. Well..I have been quite ill for a very long time..I decided to stop focusing on me and my illness and start thinking of others especially those who did not have enough money for a nice Christmas, enough food feel full, enough heat to be warm, enough people around to call friends...so I resolve to think of others, to remind myself daily of the many things I actually do have and while it may not be a Jacquar or a new Lexus, while my home is not large and fabulous, I have people who love me, a place to call home and always something to mix together to fill my tummy. There is no way you can set yourself up to fail when you put yourself last and put others first. So I promise to think of all those who are sicker than me, who have no shelter or food or money or jobs and pray in my heart and aloud that God will watch over you and that you will have those things you desire. I have so much to be thankful for it just gets lost in the shopping and money and yada yada yada. Thank you for this challenge, it has made me realize that NEW YEAR means more than 2013. God Bless You All!! Gabby
ReplyDeleteGabby again..I am thought I was a follower but I did it again..that will be a definite 2013 thing to do!! Also posted on FB and pinterest...I think I'm good to go as an entry. Thanks for the opportunity. You're creations are fabulous!! Gabby

I usually don't do a New Year's resolution but thought I might give it try this year. Would really like some incentive to walk everyday and to stay focussed on losing another 25 pounds. I've definitely been at a stand still for way too long... Thanks for the chance to win and wishing you and your family a very Happy New year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S! I do make resolutions! I am a work in progress! I love to set goals. Sure, I sometimes fall short but I usually learned something new along the way.
ReplyDeleteThis year my resolutions are to be healthy-drink water and eat better. Read more books. Craft more. Do project life. Be more patient. Do not use curse words when someone cuts me off when driving! Finally, not to engage in gossip.
Thanks for the giveaway! As always I love your creations.
Btw...I follow you on your blog and posted to Pinterest!
Happy New Year! I very seldom make resolutions but will challenge myself to complete a task - such as organize my craft room! That seems to make the list every year after the whirlwind of holiday crafting :)
ReplyDeleteI don't do New years resolutions. Happy New Year Michele! I can tell you I have family over New Years eve and serve a bunch of snacks. YUM!!!
ReplyDeleteI just posted this to my Facebook page to alert my friends. :)
ReplyDeleteI try to make resolutions that I know I'll do with a little push. Like start my own blog which I did last year or make a better point to stay in touch with the inlaws. I used to depend on DH to do that but realized we weren't doing it much. This year I'm resolving to challenge myself more either by online challenges or make my own up creatively.
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower. In fact, your blog is the one I always look at. You're work is amazing! Truly an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win - a great giveaway! I don't do resolutions - I never managed to complete them anyway!

ReplyDeleteIn 2013, I am going to take care of myself and live each day to its fullest.
Hugs and Happy New Year!
I wish you and your family a great and prosperous New Year and hope you can achieve your resolutions. I don't set resolutions as I think they just set me up for failure. I do set realistic goals for myself and break tasks down so they're achievable when there's something I really want done.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Years.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking projects.
I really don't make any resolutions except that I do try and be the best person possible throughout the year.

ReplyDeleteI did make some resolutions this year. Mostly I decided to cut back on crafty spending and use my stash. I will sell my unused items and use that money for any new "must have" purchases.
ReplyDeleteExercise and reading will be combined using my kindle, cycle and treadmill...50 lbs would be fantastic, but I'll take it 10 lbs at a time to make the goals attainable.
thanks for the opportunity.

ReplyDeleteYes, I do make resolutions. Last year I vowed to wash my face every night before going to bed. I've always been hit-or-miss on this but I nailed it in 2012. This year, I resolve to be more aware of what goes on my plate and into my mouth. I'm hoping I do well with this because I really need/want to eat healthier and lose some weight and inches.

I give myself permission to take care of ME first and foremost so I can offer my best to those I love and need me. Nough said! Thanks for the giveaway! And--one day at a time, may you and yours have everything you need for a blessed and happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteI no longer make an annual resolution but do make daily, weekly and monthly resolutions. For me it is easier to stay on track that way. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI gave up making resolutions a long time ago. I am trying one Little Word for the third year in a row. The first year was a bust. My word was "organize" which sounds more like a resolution waiting to be broken. This year's word is "simplify" and I hope to have more luck with it!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Michele and family!
ReplyDeleteI love your project! Boy do I miss that blog!
ReplyDeleteI used make resolutions, but usually ended up not following through on them. This year, I didn't make any resolutions but I have some ideas that I would like to try. I guess that's a "lite" New Year's reolution? LOL! Thanks for the chance to win! Happy New Year! May 2013 bring you much joy!

ReplyDeleteI do make resolutions but I call them goals, because for some reason there's less stress if I don't call them resolutions, haha!
My goals for this year are to eat healthier, and improve my communication with my hubby! My scrappy goal is to make more layouts in 2013 than in 2012!
Great project! I don't usually do New Year's resolutions. This year I'd like to eat better and try to find more time to exercise. Not an easy task with an 8 1/2 month old and working full time!

I have a perpetual resolution to lose weight - I am so sick of making this resolution that I'm hopeful I can get it done, once and for all!
ReplyDeleteI also want to focus on scrapbooking again. I have the most fabulous space, tons of toys, paper, tools, and a gazillion photos -- no reason to NOT scrapbook. I have been making cards because I love the instant gratification..
I always make a resolution(to loose weight) never do. I guess I shouldn't waste time!!!Thanks for the chance to win! millierose651@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI haven't made any resolutions before, or maybe I had but never actually stick to it. But this year, I wrote all the things that I wanted to improve and change for 2013.
