My project today is another glass bottle similar to the one I posted the other day. I changed up the colors a bit and used the Vintage Labels set by Crafty Secrets for the little tag. I added some flowers that were created using a Sizzix flower die. I added green stamens I purchased off of Etsy.
I mentioned the other day, when using alcohol inks, that I used two different colors. Here I used purple and a bit of silver. After it dries, which is pretty darn quick, I rubbed a bit of glossy accents over the bottle and sprinkled clear coarse glitter over it.
The leaf was cut using my Cricut and Mother's Day Bouquet Cartridge.
Someone recently asked if the ink washes off, and the answer is no. It is permanent, at least with soap and water. You can fill the inside of the jar with candies, embellishments, etc. The sky's the limit! : )
I am working on a Valentine's jar right now and will post soon!
I found this interesting technique on Pinterest called Bokeh. I decided to experiment a bit with it. As I said before, I am not great at it. I don't even think I am good.....but it was fun to play! Here is my feeble attempt at using the Bokeh effect with my camera.

So sweet and pretty! I agree - the fun is in playing and experimenting - even if it doesn't turn out right!

Once again a pretty result. I actually decorated a bottle for my friend's christmas present. She loved it. I filled it with buttons of course...LOL

I am going to give this a go for Valentine's day -- so great! And thanks for addressing my question about the permanency of the ink. I really enjoy your blog and look forward to your posts! Happy 2012!

Gorgeous jar!! I love experimenting too.
Michelle: These delightful white flowers as well as the yellow ones in the post below, you said are from a Sizzix die. Can you please tell me which die you used. These are just too lovely for me to resist. I appreciate the help.
