Autumn

Hello friends!

I have another card using Whimsy Stamp's new Autumn Layered Leaves set.  My last card used nontraditional pinks and purples, but today I went with the standard oranges, reds, and yellows.  The leaves were stamped on water color paper using Versamark, then embossed in white. I fussy cut the leaves.  I added glossy accents to areas of the leaves and added glitter.  The sentiment is the new Autumn Word and Shadow die.

The sentiment was cut out using orange and black paper.  I inked the edges of it in a red to give it a bit more depth. The frames is from the Mitered Frame set.  I love the frames with the wood grain paper from the Farmhouse 6 x 6 pack!  I tucked in a few sequin leaves and a few gems from the new Confetti mix-Falling Leaves in Orange.

Whimsy has so many fun new products and their new release is right around the corner!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Hello friends!
What a week it has been! I hope all of you living in the Southeast made it safely through Hurricane Ian!
My son's Naval graduation was canceled and this Mom was pretty sad about it. But in the whole scheme of things, we were safe, he was safe, and we celebrated with him over Zoom. :)
Our Whimsy Stamp's family live in Florida and fortunately they made it through safely with minimal damage.  It will be awhile before life gets back to some normalcy there.
Today's Whimsy Stamp's release is packed with some awesome new products!  I used the new Autumn Layered Leaves stamp set.  I embossed them in gold on water color paper. I went with bold pinks, purples, oranges, and reds.  I fussy cut them out. The focal point uses the Autumn Word and Shadow Die.  The background was water colored in oranges and yellows.  The scripty word was die cut using gold glittery paper.

The background was done using water color paper (see the trend? LOL) and the Mitered Frames set.  I popped the inner most frame and sentiment up using Crafty Foam Tape.  The leaves were tucked underneath and glued in place. I added a bit of gold cording.  For a final touch I used the Confetti Mix-Falling Leaves in pink.
Thank you for stopping by today!

Whimsy's New Release!

Hello!
Today is Whimsy's mid month release! And I know I sound like a broken record, but it is such an awesome release! So much goodness! Fall is my favorite season, so maybe that's why I am a bit partial.
I used the new Leaf Frame and Die combo for today's card.  I stamped the leaves on water color paper in a no line ink.  I used my Karin Brushmarkers to bring it to life.  I added details with watercolor pencils.  I added a bit of glitter and glossy accents to the acorns.
The inside was given a bit of color using Tim Holtz ink in Cracked Pistachio.  I stamped the sentiment using the new Slimline Pines stamp and last release's, Fill a Harvest Truck.  I adhered a few gold sequins and popped it up on black card stock.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy to see the full release!

Fall Water Colored Thank You

Happy Friday!

I have another card today sharing some new stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps. The focal point of the card is this glittery gold sentiment from the new Slimline Vertical Sentiments set.  It was stamped with Versamark on a light blue paper and them embossed in gold. The leaves are from the new Leaf Layers Stamp set.  I embossed in white on water color paper and used my Karin Brushmarkers to add color.  I fussy cut the leaves and tucked them behind the sentiment.  The background was created using the Slimline Fancy Frame Die.

The sentiment was popped up using black Shaker Maker Foam Tape. I love the dimension it gives the card! I added glittery Crystal Nuvo drops and called it done! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today!

Happy, Colorful, Fall!

Hi friends!
Hope you had a great week!
I have a new card using Whimsy Stamp's new Falling Leaves Background stamp.  I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.  I used my Zig Clean Color markers.  I decided a non traditional color scheme, as I think I am still a bit in "summer mode." I added a few water colored leaves from the Build-a-Pumpkin-Patch set.   I added a strip of white card stock, ribbon, leaves and a few gold sequins. I layered everything using Crafty foam tape.
The sentiment was cut using the Bold ABC Die set and a happy die from my stash. I added Stickles to the word, Fall for added sparkle.
Thanks so much for visiting today!

Vintage Fall

Good morning!
I have a new fall card using Whimsy Stamp's September releases! I used their awesome new die set called, Build-a-Pumpkin Patch.   I used my Zig Clean Color markers to bring the die cuts to life.  Once everything was dry, I splattered white acrylic paint.
I used the new Slimline Marquee die with kraft card stock.  I love the wonky windows of this die! I backed each window with vintage music paper.  I adhered a piece of a paper doily to each window.  I adhered the pumpkins with Crafty Foam tape for added dimension.
I added twine and pearls to each pumpkin/leaves cluster.  The thanks is from the Thanks Word and Shadow Die.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

New Release From Whimsy Stamps!

Good morning! Today is my 48th birthday! My husband took me away this past weekend to downtown Chicago.  We kayaked on the Chicago River, walked our beautiful city, had pizza, and went to a Comedy Club.  I am truly blessed to be married to a man for 26 years and still treat me like we are still dating.  :)

My card today uses Whimsy's new die set, Build-a-Pumpkin Patch.  I die cut everything using water color paper.  I colored it using Zig Clean Color Markers.
After everything was dry, I splattered white acrylic paint over everything. I assembled the leaves and twine at the stem.
The sentiment was stamped from an old sentiment stamp I had in my stash.  I cut the ends to look like a banner and tucked it under the leaves.
Have a wonderful day today! Thank you for stopping my little corner!

Pumpkin Treat Boxes!

Good morning!
Michele here with some fall treats!
I think these little clear boxes are so dang cute!
I took a piece of burlap and adhered it to the outside of the box.
I cut a bunch of pumpkins with my Silhouette. I inked the edges and layered them using Crafty Foam Tape.   I did a bit of Copic coloring on the leaves and layered everything on to the top of the box.  I added a sentiment from the Express Yourself Halloween Sticker set  I even cut out the teeny candy corn and adhered it to a clear button.
I tied the black and white twine and tucked the sentiment underneath and glued the button/candy corn to the top.
My boxes are all ready for my co-workers to receive, for a little sweet pick me up!!

Have a great weekend!

Give Thanks....

Good morning!
Today's card is my last fall card for the year.
Then you will see lots of snowmen, ornaments, and Christmas trees!
I used a Tim Holtz stencil and inks to create the background.  I added white veins to the leaves using white gel pen.  I spritzed it with Goosebumpz spray to add "water" droplets. SRM's sentiment from Live Life/Calendar Year was perfect for this card.  Gold sequins and sheer ribbon finished it off.
My kiddos are still sleeping......and love that they are both home in their own beds.
My heart is complete.
Today I will have a full house, good food, and a warm house to share with my family.
I am so incredibly grateful for all that I have, (including you! and this wonderful hobby!)
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Harvest of Blessings

Good morning friends!I have a quick fall post for you today!  (I am still in disbelief that Thursday is Thanksgiving already!)
I made a treat bag using My Favorite Things Harvest Mouse stamp set. I masked off the moon/mouse/leaves and inked it with various shades of yellow, orange, and red.  I colored the main image with Prisma Colored Pencils.
I added stars and highlights with my white gel pen as well as few craters to the moon!
A doily was glued to the inside.
It is all ready for treats to be placed inside!
Both my kiddos come home this week! It will be such a blessing to be surrounded by my family!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
