Bear Love!

Hello friends!
I have two cards to share today using Whimsy Stamp's Bear Love stamp set. This set is so cute! The first card I colored the images with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I used the Terrific Tickets Add On die to create the background.  I adhered the images including a spot of grass from the Field of Flowers die set. A few extra hearts and twine were added to as finishing touches.
My second card I colored and die cut everything out.  The background cut out using the Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die and clouds were added with the It's Cloudy stencil.   The Grass and butterflies were cut out using the Field of Butterflies Die set.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release

Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a joyous Easter!
Today is Whimsy Stamp's new release day! I am loving these Quick Card Fronts-Bee Cute! It is so easy to mass produce many cards! The images are lovely and incredibly detailed.  I also used the new Mix and Match Marquee Die set.  The centers were popped up with Foam Tape. The edges were given a swipe of Versamark and embossed in silver.
For each card I added satin ribbon, a couple of posies, and silk leaves.  The sentiments were cut and popped up as well using foam squares.

Have a wonderful week!

Spring Has Sprung!

Good morning and happy weekend!
I have some new Whimsy Stamp's products to share with you today!
First, is this beautiful new die called, Magnolia. I used Karin Brushmarkers on water color paper and then cut it out using the Magnolia die.  I placed it over another water colored panel.  I was going for a watery effect. ;)
I stamped a tag using the Spring Birds Clear Stamp set. I gave it a wash of water color and tied it to my vertical bow with a bit of string. I added pearls to the centers of the magnolias for a final touch.
Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps to see the full release!

Smile!!

Good morning and happy (very chilly) morning!  Chicago is seeing frigid temperatures this next week.  Negative degrees.  yuck.  I am so ready for spring! I am in love with Whimsy Stamp's February 1st release!  I used the new Slimline Meadow Die.  I loved creating this little scene.  I added flock to the bunnies and glued teeny pom poms for their tails.

The background was done with a cloud stencil and the Sun Rays Stencil.  I stamped the Simple Sentiments Strips stamp set on red paper using Versamark ink.  I embossed it in white.  I added a teeny heart.  I also used the Smile Die.  A silk ribbon and twine were tied vertically to finish off the card.

*** Update****
My son completed his 5th week in Boot Camp and I received several letters from him.  I think I've read his letters 10 times already! He sounds good and is staying strong.  I am able to write to him, and my heart is so much lighter and happier! He has 6 more weeks to go! Pray for him please.  His safety, his mental well being, and strength.

Springtime!

Happy weekend!
I hope you are all doing well.
I myself have to admit that I am struggling a bit.  We are now quarantined until May 30.  My Cortney's birthday is May 2nd and this will be the first year since she was born, that we will not spend with her. It makes me sad.
The only thing that keeps me going is the warmer weather and this hobby of mine.  I used the new Poppy Flower dies from Whimsy.  I paired them with felt.  I sewed a button to the middle.  For the smaller "bud" I cut one of the petals and glued the three remaining together.
The sentiment was stamped on orange paper from the Easter Memories stamp set.  This gorgeous paper is part of the Fabulous Florals pack.   For the card itself I used the Nested Hexagon Die set. I added some silk ribbon, and a few rhinestones to finish off the card.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a great weekend!

Sweet

Good morning friends!
I have a card today that uses the Layered Dahlia set from Whimsy Stamps. I thought it was the perfect set to pair with the Karin Brushmarkers.  When the flowers were done, I splattered them with white acrylic paint. I fussy cut each flower and placed them to the side.  I cut two panels of card stock, one in yellow, and white, using the rounded rectangles die. While the die was in place, I used the Twinkle Stencil and pink ink, to give the background a bit of interest. I adhered the flowers using Crafty Foam Tape and scattering of teeny hearts from the Sprinkletz Sweetheart collection.
I added the word SWEET from the Sweet Word and Shadow Die set.
I am working from home and doing e-learning with my students.  It's been a learning curve for sure, for teachers and parents.  But hopefully by the end of the week, we will be a rhythm.
Stay safe and healthy friends!

Fluttering by....

Good morning! I am home today with some weird virus.  It started last week as a typical cold and spiraled into an all over body rash.  I am coughing like a seal and look like I have the plague, so needless to say, I am home.  ;)
I am really tired of the rain and snow (yes snow) that Chicago has dumped on us the past week, so I needed a bit of spring in my life.  I used Whimsy Stamp's Build a Garden die set and Zig Clean Color markers.
The background was done using Distress inks in Broken China, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade , and Picked Raspberry.  I spritzed it with a bit of water to get a speckled effect. I coated each flower pot with Glossy accents and Glamour Dust.
I never feel my spring cards are complete without a fluttering butterfly, so I added one from the Butterflies Fluttering set. I used the marker directly onto the rubber to get the two tone effect.  I fussy cut it and added it to my sentiment strip that was cut using the Quick Strips die set.
I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape, added white Nuvo drops, and a heart from the Sparkletz Love Hearts collection.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I really appreciate your visits!
