TGIF!

This card exemplifies a lot of what I've been feeling lately with this Pandamic and E-learning!

This is a brand new set from Whimsy Stamps called, Just Ugh! 

I brought the image to life using Karin Brushmarkers. 

After I was done coloring, I created a border using thin strips of white card stock and a few rhinestones. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and white embossing powder.

Surf's Up!

I can not get enough of this adorable set from Whimsy Stamps, Hippo Beach Fun! The images are just so stinking cute! 

I stamped it in a no line ink color and colored the image with Karin Brushmarkers.  I added white gel highlights and a bit of glossy accents to the glasses.  I did a bit of masking and inking to create the beach and large sun.

I used the Rounded Rectangles set to create a frame around the image.  I used Crafty Foam tape to give it a bit of height. I added a bit of ribbon and cute brad I had in my stash.

Whimsy Release!

I LOVE my coffee. I mean I  REALLY love my coffee.  During our stay at home time, driving to Starbucks or Dunkin was our big "outing" to keep me sane...and caffeinated.  ;) So this new Whimsy Stamp set, Cool Beans really spoke to me! I stamped it with a light grey ink for a no line water coloring look.  I used my favorite Karin Brushmarkers.  Once it was dry, I added glossy accents to the eyeglasses and used a white gel pen for highlights.  I cut the image out using the Stitched Circle Dies.  I left the die in place and used Tim Holtz ink.

I also used the brand new Comic Speech Bubbles dies.  I stamped the sentiments and layered them over the circles.  For a finishing touch, I adhered several tiny hearts from the Sprinkletz-Sweetheart collection.

Don't Stress Meowt!

Hello! 

I have a fun card that seems super appropriate for these times! It is Whimsy Stamp's new Cattitude Stamp set! I colored the image with Copic markers and decided the background was a bit too plain.  So I masked the cat and ground off and used the Twinkle Stencil.

I added fun curves to the light blue paper using the new Fish and Mice Border Die. 

I added a strip of orange paper from the Giraffe paper pack.  For my finishing touch I added ribbon and two hearts that also came from the Fish and Mice Border Die.

Summer is Around the Corner!

Hello friends!

I have a quick post to share with you! I am squeezing this in between all of my Google Classroom stuff.  It's been a crazy busy time and I am looking forward to the summer for a bit of a breather.

I am sharing another Whimsy Stamp's card using the new Hippo Beach Fun.  I know, I know, I colored my hippo green.  I took a bit of creative license with it! ;)  

I used the Karin Brushmarkers and a no-line coloring technique. 

I used the Rounded Rectangles Die and layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape.  I adhered it to the striped paper from the Fabulous Florals paper pack.  I tied a pink bow vertically and added a teeny heart to the sentiment.

Calling all Dog Lovers!

Good morning!

I am a dog person for sure and this new  Puppy Paws Die set, from Whimsy, was right up my alley! I decided I couldn't go wrong with a rainbow pattern.  I used the negative pieces and added the bone and sentiment to the top.  I thought I'd add a couple of hearts too. 

I added glossy accents and used the paper from the 6 x 6 Rainbow Paper Pack. To give a bit of dimension I used Crafty Foam Tape in between the layers. It's a pretty simple card, but I liked how it turned out.  :)

Fun in the Sun! Whimsy's May Release!

Hello friends!

I have a fun card today that uses an adorable new set from Whimsy Stamps called, Hippo Beach! I know hippos are normally a gray color, but I took a bit of artistic licence  here.  ;) I colored the image using Copic markers.  I cut the main image out with the Pierced and Stitched Circles Die.

I used the Nested Hexagon Die set to create a fun card shape.  I also used the fun orange polka dot paper from the 6 x 6 Giraffe collection. I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape. 

For a few finishing touches I glued real sand on the card.  I stamped the sentiment and clipped it under a clip I had in my stash.  I added a bit of twine and a few rhinestones.
