Good Dog!

Good morning!  I am officially finished with school and ready to begin my summer!
Crafty Secrets has the cutest set ever for all of you dog lovers out there!  The set is a fun digital set called, Big Dog!
I printed two copies of it, so I could cut out the center and pop it up using dimensional foam circles. I traced the shape on cream cardstock so that I would have a back to my card. ;)
The image was colored using Prisma Colored Pencils.
I added black epoxy puffy paint to the paw prints for added dimension.
I added a few fun touches to finish the card off, colored seam binding, string, twine, a little flower, and a dangling bone charm.
Today is my husband's birthday, so I've got lots to get done before he gets home from golfing!
Have a happy day my friends!

JustRite's Last June Release-Snow Days!

Good morning! Today is JustRite's last day of their June release! As you know I love making shaped cards and look for any excuse to create them!  I found this cute Christmas cupcake cut at the Silhouette Store.  I wanted to add a subtle wintery texture to it, so I stamped the new background stamp, Snow Days in Versarmark.  I sprinkled it with a blue embossing powder by Zing.
The snowflakes add a bit of whimsy without being too overwhelming and "in your face." I added lots of Doodlebug glitter and pearls for my sprinkles. I finished it off with a bit of silk ribbon, string, and a little satin posy I had in my stash.

Be sure to pay these ladies a visit today! :)
I am off to see my little niece's dance recital today! I am sure I will have to share some pics of her tomorrow!
Have a wonderful blessed Sunday!

JustRite's June Release-Applique Christmas Labels

Good morning and happy Saturday to you! I hope you have been enjoying JustRite's release so far!  Today's set is equally as fabulous!  It is a set called, Applique Christmas Labels One.  I used my Silhouette to cut the mixer designed by Lori Whitlock, as well as the SVG cuts for my gingerbread guy and the star. I stamped my sentiment directly to the bottom of the mixer in black ink.
The gingerbread guy was colored using my Spectrum Noir markers.  I inked the edges a bit with brown ink and added Clear Wink of Stella pen to the entire image for a bit of subtle sparkle.  I also added a generous coating of glossy accents to the entire image.  Once it was dry I adhere it to the top of the blender with ribbons, posies, and a couple of glittery jingle bells.

The design team always astounds me with their talent....they truly are some of the most creative people I know! Be sure to stop by their blogs to see their projects!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for JustRite's last day of their June release!
Enjoy your day!

JustRite's June Release-Day 5!

Merry Christmas to you!
No I didn't completely lose my mind! Well maybe.....  ;)
(That's what the last week of school does to a teacher! LOL!)
But it is feeling a bit like Christmas with all of JustRite's new releases! I am showcasing two stamp sets today. My first card uses the new Christmas Stitched With Love set.  It was stamped 3 times and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stacked the layers using dimensional foam circles. The frame and holly leaves were also stamped and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.
The frame's center was cut out to make room for the dimensional tree and a peek of a doily.  I added to the top of a glassine bag which houses a Starbucks gift card.
My second card uses the Holly Garlands background stamp.  I stamped it in Versamark and embossed in silver.  I added touches of green and red using my Spectrum Noir markers.
I used the Mistletoe from the Christmas Stitched With Love set and again colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  I added glossy accents to them and tucked them under a button that was stamped from the same set. I added a sentiment, ribbon, string, and a few sequins.
Here are the two sets I used today!

And just to provide a bit of enabling,  Because that's what good friends do. ;)
Happy Friday everyone! Be sure to check back this weekend for more JustRite fun!

JustRite's June Release-Ornament Background Stamp!

It is hard to believe that in just one week, I will be out of school! I can not begin to tell you how excited I am to have those lazier days of summer to look forward to! It is rather ironic then that today, I am sharing a Christmas card! It is JustRite's new background stamp called, Ornament Background Stamp.  I stamped it using Tim Holtz Distress Markers on cream cardstock.  I did it again on another piece of cardstock and then cut out each ornament.
I added glossy accents and glitter to each one.  Once dry, I adhered them to the card using dimensional foam circles.  I added a bit of rustic twine and a pearl to keep the card simple.  (Which is very difficult for me!) ;)
Here is the background stamp I used.

Check out the everyone's blogs for more Christmas in June inspiration!

Have a great day!!
