Poof!

Hi friends!
I am going to keep it short because I am flat out exhausted!
What a day I had!
I almost lost my muffler driving to a wake.  I pulled into an auto place and practically begged them to fix it. Thankfully the mechanic was super understanding and told me I just needed new clips to hold the muffler.  If I had continued driving, I would have lost it completely and would have needed a whole new muffler system.  So I averted a huge disaster!
While I had to wait for the car, I walked 14 blocks to attend the wake and 14 blocks back, just in time to pick up my car!
So basically I want this day to be done and go "Poof!":)
I created this card using the Cast a Spell stamp set. I stamped the little newt with black Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I fussy cut it and added glossy accents to the bottle.  Once it was dry, I added white highlights with a gel pen.  The background was water colored and splattered with a black water color.  Once it was dry I stamped the Poof and colored it with Copics.  I added glossy accents to the word.
I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape.  I adhered a scattering of stars from the Sparkletz collection.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

You are my Sunshine!

Hi crafty friends! Michele here! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
I am so happy that spring has finally decided to show up!
This new die set from Whimsy Stamps, Build-a-Garden is perfect and so much fun to play with.
I die cut each piece on water color paper and used watercolor markers. I wanted to add a bit of texture to the birdhouse so I stamped it with the Rain Drops Background stamp in Versamark.  I heat embossed it in gold.  I dragged the Versamark pad across the edges as well as on the flower pot for more interest.
The watering can was watercolored, Versamarked across the entire front of it, and embossed with a pearlized embossing powder. I love the pretty sheen it gives! I popped it up using Crafty Foam tape.
For the background I used the new Peekaboo Window Die and the 6x6 paper pack in Pretty Pastels, as my backdrop to all of this spring gorgeousness.
I decided this spring scene needed a butterfly so I added one using the Butterflies Fluttering stamp set.
The sentiment is from the Bunny Buddies set.  It was stamped with Versamark on black paper and embossed in white.
I added a few hearts from the Sparklets Love Hearts and a few white dots using Nuvo Crystal drops in Simply White.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Are you ready to see what I have created?
My first card uses Whimsy's new stamp set called, Bunny Buddies. I stamped it in Versafine black ink and colored it using Zig Clean Color Markers.
I stamped the new Rain Drops Background stamp with Versamark ink and used WOW's clear embossing powder. To make the rain a bit more pronounced, I added a bit more water color.
I cut the image using the Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies. I popped up the middle circle for a bit more depth and interest.

I added a silk ribbon and few puffy heart stickers.

My second card uses Whimsy's new stamp set called, Cast a Spell.  I stamped the images on white paper using Versamark ink.  I used Wow's gold Embossing powder.
I fussy cut both stamped pieces and layered them using Crafty Foam Tape. The background seemed a bit plain so I used the Speckled Heart Stencil. The sentiment was stamped again with Versamark ink and white embossing powder from WOW! Their powder is great because it is fine and doesn't get all chunky and lumpy!
I cut the sentiment using the Quick Strips Die Set.  I tucked it behind our wizarding friend.
No wizard is complete without a few stars, so I added a few from the Sparkletz Crystal Stars collection.

IF you would like to start the hop from the beginning, here is the complete list!

My Happy Place....

Good morning! It's the start of a brand new week! I have been crafting quite a bit and have lots of projects to share this month!
I adore this new stamp set by Whimsy Stamps called, Bunny Buddies.
I stamped it in Versafine Black ink and colored it using Copic Markers.
I added hearts to the pocket and some white pen details.  I used Nuvo Glitter Drops to add sparkle to all of the hearts.  I layered the image over the polka dot paper from Whimsy's 6 x 6 Pretty Pastels.
I used a piece of doily at the bottom and top of the image.  I added silk ribbon and used a flower and leaves from the Build-a-Garden die set.   As a final touch I adhered a few clear droplets form the Coral Coast Sparkletz.

I am so blessed to have Misericordia in our lives.  They are a facility that takes care of 600+ residents, including my sweet girl, Cortney.  I love that they treat my daughter like she is the most important human being on the planet.  Not only do they provide a wonderful quality of life for their residents, they include the families in every aspect of their day to day.  Like this picture sent from the head of her house on their trip to Target.  Whenever I feel a bit sad about Cortney not being home, I look at her smile here and know, without a doubt, that she is living the life that God intended for her. Right now Misericordia is doing their "Candy Day's Drive."  If you are in the Chicago land area, you know that at the end of April families and friends of Misericordia stand out with their cans and Jelly Bellies collecting money.  (Rain or shine I will be out there!) Since many of our families and friends live out of the state, we also have a First Giving page set up for Cortney to benefit Misericordia.  If you would like to donate, here is the link.  Any amount is greatly appreciated!!
