Summer Flower Card!

I have been playing with my Cricut's Mini Monograms cartridge. This cartridge has the capabilities to make scalloped squares and circles from 1 inch all the way to 5 1/2 inches! I really love this! The punches are great but somewhat limiting! I used Die Cuts With a View paper for the background. The polka dot paper is Doodlebug and the pink solid paper is SU! I Cuttlebugged it! (See how I made that into a verb?) I had this very old tulip stamp from SU! I colored it with my Prisma colored pencils and mineral spirits. and added some crystal lacquer and dazzling diamonds.
By the way, I have been asked to be a part of a Design Team for Regina Easter, from Hand to Paper! She is the expert at using the Cricut and was looking for people to help create projects using this amazing machine! So check out her new blog entitled" Bitten by the Bug!" I will be creating for this really soon!

Another Hen Card....Using my new Copic markers!!

I love the new Copic Markers! So totally fun to play with! I still like my Prismas but these are another nice alternative! The colors are so rich and bright...and go on sooooo smooth! I love the blender pen too! I used my Whipper Snapper stamp. The card size is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I used my Cricut to cut both scalloped circles! (Love my Cricut!) The paper is by Die Cuts With a View. The ribbon is by Brenda Walton. The sentiment is my new SU! set Best of Cluck, I knew it was retiring so I HAD to buy it! (I must have a thing about chickens and birds and such......wonder what that says about me?) I also used my trusty sewing machine that has yet to touch an article of clothing! LOL!

Aloha Lady bug!

I finally got to play with my new Paper Trey set! I happened to have this Hawaiian paper out....so I decided to use it! I also used my new Gina K stamps to embellish my scalloped punch! I also used my crystal lacquer and dazzling diamonds for the spots. The ribbon was from Brenda Walton. The flowers are Prima. So here is my Hawaiian inspired card! (Wish I were there!)

Fast and Easy Kid's card!

Our icky Cicadas!
Sorry about this sideways picture!!

This entire card (up at the top...sorry about this goofy post! ) was made from the Martha Stewart Line. No stamping at all! I used the circle stickers and cute turtle stickers! The paper is hers also! Wouldn't this make a cute kids card?

I got a new digital camera! A Nikon N40! IT ROCKS! I was playing around a little bit on Sunday...here are some of the pics....(And I did take the baby feet picture I posted a couple of days ago!)

Another summer card!

I put this card together relatively quickly....would that qualify as a warm up card? I wanted this sand dollar by Inkadinkado, to be the focal point so I used a minimalist approach...which is hard for me to do!

I used Basic Grey's, Perhaps line of paper and some Martha Stewart paper in peach and pink. I sewed on this page...when in doubt add some ribbon and stitching and it suddenly becomes something special...although I think my hubby would disagree! Eh, what does he know?

Beate's Sketch

I am probably the last person who has tried this wonderful sketch by Beate! I don't know why but I struggled with it a bit! This is not one of my best cards......oh well, they all can't be wonderful can they? I used these new acrylic stamps by Impression Obsession, Beach Fun. The images are adorable! I used my Prisma colored pencils and mineral spirits to blend. The paper is from Flair Designs. I used rhinestones and sequins. The circular rhinestones are from Heidi Swapp. I also used this awesome embossing powder called "sand" (how appropriate!) by Stampendous! For what else? The sand!!I did make a different size card, which for me is pretty daring! A 41/2 x 4 1/2! Tell me what you think....could it have been better, improved?

Drum roll please....My 2 winners for the blog candy are Jami Speidel and Tania from Belgium! My hubby picked numbers 28 and 70! I really enjoyed reading all your creative answers! Thanks to all who participated...it was so much fun!

I wanted to introduce the newest member of our family....my new nephew, Nicholas John! He was born on Saturday! A healthy little boy! My two sisters were due within weeks of each other! So I have one more baby to look forward to in the next few weeks! There is nothing better than a new baby! (By the way....I took this photo with my spankin brand new camera!!)
