Whimsy Stamp's March Release-Butterflies Fluttering!

Good morning and happy weekend to you!
My whole house is sick with some kind of a virus and I feel like the disinfectant queen!
Washing sheets, wiping down everything....you know the drill!
I did manage to play with Whimsy Stamp's newest March release, Butterflies Fluttering!
The butterflies in this set are absolutely breathtaking!
I used my Zig Clean Color markers to apply the color directly onto the stamp.  I knew I wanted to create a colorful, rainbow-ish butterfly. I fussy cut it and put it to the side so I could work on the background.
I used my Zigs to create the background as well.  I scribbled on a glass block with each color and picked up the color with a brush.  I tilted the paper back and forth so the colors would run into each other a bit.  I stamped the sentiment on black card stock using Versamark and white embossing powder.  I cut it into a strip.
I used Whimsy's Friend Word die from last month's release as part of the sentiment.
I assembled all of the pieces and popped up the butterfly using Crafty Foam Tape for added dimension.  I also added some teeny gold stars from the Lucky Charm's Sparkletz
I felt the back panel was a bit too stark so I dipped the edges in Versamark ink and gold embossing powder.  I felt like it jazzed it up a bit without distracting from the main image.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I will have so much more to share! March is an awesome release month!

Thank Ye Matey!

Happy Thursday!
I have one last card to share with you using the ARRGG Pirate set from Whimsy Stamps.  Tomorrow is their March release and I can't wait to share all of the new sets!
But for today, I am still in pirate mode. ;)
I stamped my own background using black Memento ink.
I cut a circle for the sentiment.  I colored my dragon pirate dude with Copic markers.  I decided to incorporate the Smile die cut and give it a bit of sparkle with  Nuvo Glitter Drops.
I used a touch of glittery paper on the right hand side for a bit more sparkle.  Dragons like glitter too!

I am so happy you stopped by today!
Have a great day!

Pirate Birthday Treats!

So are you surprised to see another project using Whimsy Stamp's Arrgg Pirates set?  ;)
I just think the images are so dang cute!  This parrot?  He looks quite "pirate-ee" with his wooden peg leg!
I cut these cut treat boxes using my Silhouette.
I stamped the smaller images and colored them with Copic marker.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.
I bit of red twine, glossy accents, and some highlights with a gel pen, and these bad boys are party ready!

Silhouette of a Pirate Girl!

Good morning!
I have a new card to share with you using Whimsy Stamp's ARRGG Pirate set and this very cool silhouette image of a lady pirate.  I used some of the smaller stamps from the stamp set to "decorate" her hair.
I added a flower (she is a lady after all!) and leaves from the Peony die cut set.  I layered the ribbon, flower, leaves, etc and adhered them in place.

For the back ground I used the large rectangle from the new Peekaboo Window die to add subtle interest without distracting from my main image.  I added a few pearls to her neck line and a few bigger ones to frame her.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
