JustRite's New Release-Elegant Celebrations

Today is JustRite's last day of their new release for December....so we saved the best for last. ;) It is a beautiful set designed by our very own talented Becca Feekin.  The set is called Elegant Celebrations. The fonts in this set are beautiful and I love the sayings.
She has also designed a Spellbinder's die, Heirloom Flourishes, that is elegant and goes beautifully with any project.
Since it is only in the teens here, my thoughts turned to a winter wedding. I chose soft purples and silver.
I used the pretty flourishes stamp to add a bit of purple to the back panel.
The snowflake/sentiment was matted against a Spellbinder's Label's Four die.  I left the die in place, took my Sakura glue pen to outline the perimeter and then sprinkled it with silver glitter.
I wanted to add a bit of texture to the base of the card so I used the CrissCross Spellbinder's die.  I once again used my glue pen to the perimeter and sprinkled it with silver glitter.
I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed it in silver.  The snowflakes are by Spellbinders and were given a bit of purple with my Copic airbrush system.
I added two Heirloom Flourishes...one at the top of the image and another at the bottom.  I added a glittery silver pearl to it. :)
Be sure to visit the other girls' blogs.  Each and every project is a stunner!

I am off to do a bit of Christmas shopping today.  I feel so very far behind this year......but I am hoping to knock it out of the park today! Wish me luck! ;)
Have a great day my friends!

JustRite's New Release-Just a Note Vintage Sentiment Tags

It's Friday people!  That means only one more work day until the weekend! ;)
It also means another peek at this month's new release from JustRite.
It is such a fun vintage inspired set called, Just a Note.
I decided to create another box for Cortney's teachers to slip in a gift card.
The box cut can be found at the Silhouette store.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with pink Zing powder.
the fountain pens were stamped in red and given a coat of glossy accents.
I matted the sentiment using several different Spellbinder's dies.
I also added a bit of lace, seam binding, and a flower created using yet another Spellbinder's die.

Be sure to say hello to these talented girls!

Enjoy your Friday!

JustRite's December Release-Grand Thank You Sentiments!

I hope you are enjoying this month's new stamps by JustRite so far!
Today's set is a total must have!
It is a sentiment set.....and really, who couldn't use more sentiments? ;)
Plus, the font used is beautiful!
The set is called, Grand Thank You Sentiments.
I decided since Christmas is sneaking up on us rather quickly, I'd make a holiday box for Cort's teacher.
I used THIS box from Silhouette.
The snowflake was cut using a Spellbinder's die. It was covered in glossy accents and sprinkled with glitter.
The little felt flower is a Papertrey die.  I added a little button, a miniature candy cane, and a silk bow topped with a sequin.
Here is the entire set.  :)

JustRite's December Release-Remember When!

Today is day two of JustRite's new December release!
Today's set is perfectly, deliciously vintage. It is called, Remember When.
To give this pretty background stamp a bit more interest, I stamped it twice.  The first layer was sponged with a bit of pink Memento ink and the perimeter given a healthy dose of German Glass glitter.
The second layer was cut with a Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Nine die and given several layers of UTEE. It gives it shine and texture. I adhered it to the first layer using dimensional foam circles.
I can never seem to leave a card "naked."  So I added a flower that I cut using the Rose Creations Spellbinder's die. I added pearls to the center, seam binding, string, a tag, and book paper leaves.

Be sure to stop by the other designers' blogs to see what they've whipped up using this fabulous background stamp!

JustRite's December Release-Time Flies!

Time sure does fly doesn't it? ;)
I can't believe it is the start of a new month already!  But that means it is time to show you JustRite's new releases for December!
This background stamp is called, Time Flies. It is a fun eclectic stamp.  I stamped the background in Versamark and embossed it in gold.  I gave it a hint of color with a pink Copic marker.
I stamped the wings with Versamark and embossed them in pink.  I added a sticker to the banner portion, a flower cut from my Silhouette, leaves from a Spellbinder's die, and several sequins

The design team did a great job of showcasing this stamp.  I love the variety of styles and versions of this stamp!

Have a great day friends!

Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge-Tutorial!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend! I know I did! I hosted Thanksgiving, got all of my Christmas decorations up, shopped, visited with family and friends, and even managed brunch with Santa yesterday.  It was a beautiful busy weekend!

It's that time of the month again when Crafty Secret's hosts their design team challenge and linky party!
Today I have a vintage inspired ornament and step by step directions on how I created it.
I adore this little Eskimo....it is part of Crafty Secret's digital Vintage Christmas set. I gave her a bit of color with my Copics and added flock to her hood, collar, and cuffs.
I love adding pops of silver here and there with tinsel ribbon, silver glitter, and silver sequins.  I also added satin ribbon and pink pom pom trim.
On the left is how I purchased it from the store.  (Hobby Lobby)  I selected a pretty egg shell blue paint by Martha Stewart. Once dry I brushed on glossy accents and sprinkled it with glitter.
I use up so much glitter with this addiction I have that my bottle is now empty! :(
I wanted to add the silver trim, so I grabbed my tacky glue and a bunch of clothespins.....
It is helpful to hold the trim down until it is dry. ;)
Here is a close up of my Eskimo girl.  Colored, flocked.....
I used two different Spellbinder's circle dies to fit my ornament.  I airbrushed the image while the die was still in place with a pink Copic marker.
I didn't want the image to be too far back inside the ornament, so I stacked 3 dimensional foam circles and glued them inside the ornament.
I also wanted a silver snowflake with a little rosebud for the center.
Here is my ribbon before adding my silvery snowflake. I use string all the time to tie my bows together.
And here is one last look at the ornament all put together. :)
