Life IS Better When You're Crafting!

Hello friends!
Just a quick post today using a new(ish) set from Whimsy Stamps.  It is called Crafting Fun.  It was fun to sit and color for a bit. :) The back red panel was cut using the Mix and Match Scallop Rectangles.  For a bit of "filler" I added some black dots.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thanks a Brunch!

Hello friends!
First off, thank you to those who reached out and left comments.  It is reassuring to know that I am not alone in this journey and that so many of you have gone through this.  It also makes my heart happy knowing that at least a few of you still visit this little blog of mine. :)
I have a quick card today using Whimsy Stamp's Brunch Buddies stamp set. Every image in this set is adorable and I knew I wanted to use as many of them as I could on my card.  I created a grid using my Scor-Pal so that each character had its own little box.  The images were colored with Copics and cut out.  I added some twine and a fork I found in my stash from like a hundred years ago.  ;)
Enjoy your day friends!

St. Patrick's Day!

Hello friends!

My posts have been few and far between these days.  My life has blown up a bit these past few months.  Short story version, my MIL was placed into memory care, we are in the process of selling her house, and now rearranging our house to accommodate my FIL.  Creating just hasn't been in the cards lately.

I do love these Quick Cards from Whimsy Stamps for easy card making.  I cut the image with the Celtic Knots Die set for a bit of interest and texture.  I created a flower of sorts for the corner and some vintage ribbon to finish it off.
My second card uses the adorable Lucky Charm stamp set.  I did a no line coloring technique using my Zig water color markers.  For the background I used a piece of the Celtic Mix, Quick Card Fronts.  A gold ribbon was added to finish off the card.

Merry Stressmas

I love Christmas and everything it means, but if I am honest, I also find it stressful.
It is a busy and hectic time of the year.  So hopefully you can relate to my card today!
This set is from Whimsy Stamps and it is called, Merry Stressmas.  I used Copics to color him in and added some of the sentiments around him.  I also used liquid applique for his hot cocoa and some glitter for the snow.  I used the Holly Frame die and some of Tim Holtz metallic green paper.  I gave it a bit of sanding to distress the edges a bit.  Twine and jingle bells were added as a finishing touch.
Have a wonderful week!

Whimsy's New Release!

Hello friends!
It's another fun release by Whimsy Stamps!
How cute is this Primitive Candy Corn die set?  ACK!!  I used Distress inks to add color and machine stitched the edges.  The little accessories, buttons, and "scars" are part of the set too! And don't even get me started on this new stamp set, Doggies Halloween.  A pirate pooch? C'mon! This cutie was colored with Copics and fussy cut out.
I added mummy cloth to this one and machine stitched it to "match" my little Mummy Pup!
This set is so much fun!!

Happy Easter and a bit of News!

Hello friends! I am in the midst of preparing for Easter tomorrow.  Cooking, cleaning, and church.
I wanted to share a quick card while I have a few minutes of rest. ;)
I used Whimsy Stamp's new Bunnies in the Garden set.  I colored these cuties with Copics and then used the new No Fuss Masks to do the clouds.  The image was cut out using the Mix and Match Scallop Die set.
If you scroll down a bit, I have some VERY exciting news.....
I'm a Grandma! Be still my heart Ivy Ann!
Born March 21st!
My son and Daughter-in-Law live in Georgia.  (My son is in the Navy) So I haven't gotten to hold this peanut yet, but we are flying out in a couple of weeks to visit! Until then we have lots of pictures and Zoom! Her other grandma is there and has been taking videos and pictures for me. :)
Have a blessed Easter!!
