Happy National Scrapbooking Day! And the Winner of the Crafty Secret's Giveaway!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day to y'all!!!! I have LOTS to share with you today! Everyone is offering discounts and sales to celebrate! So stay tuned! First I have a scrappy page using the Crafty Secret's Message on a Bottle set. My niece, Hannah, is such a girly girl that this set was perfect! I colored the bottle with Copics and added glitter. The papers and embellishments were all from Noel Mignon's Seaside Cottage kit.

As you know the Crafty Secret's gals and myself have been hosting $50.00 giveaways this week.
MY CRAFTY SECRET'S $50.00 Winner is: Number 83!!! (Using Random.org) This means that Stampin Cathy has won!!! She said:
This is just one amazing book. I just love all of the details, bling, embellishments, and color combos you used. This book is just priceless! Love the pictures too! Thanks for the chance to win!

The other half of the team will be hosting theirs today. So be sure to check them out! However, all of us are posting something "picture" themed today!

Caffinated Cropper Blog Hop! And Last Day for Crafty Secret's Giveaway!

Happy Friday to you! Today is the Caffinated Cropper Blog Hop! I have two cards to share with you! They both use the, With a Cherry on Top kit. It is such a versatile and fun kit! This first card uses a chipboard heart that I painted white and spread Crystal Lacquer all over it. Then I placed these clear Dew Drops all over the heart. As a final touch I added a red button tied with Baker's twine. My sentiment was created with My Little Shoebox Alpha stickers that I machine stitched. The big red bow is by May Arts.

This second card is a totally different color scheme.....more springlike and pastel. I did use some cream and vintage papers from my personal stash. I just adore the butterflies in this kit! Although I did dismember it.......and added my own "button" body! LOL! The swirl was done with a Sizzix die, distress ink, and of course.............glitter!

Be sure to leave a comment at all of the designer's blogs for a chance to win a mini kit! : )
Go check 'em out! : )

Crafty Secrets (National Scrapbooking Day) Inspiration and Giveaways!

Welcome to day 3 of Crafty Secret's celebration of National Scrapbooking Day! We will have over $500.00 in blog candy giveaways this week! In addition to that there will be free downloads, amazing samples by the DT, and inspiring ideas for 6 straight days! Each DT member is hosting a blog candy giveaway each day of the week including Saturday!
*****So today is MY day to host the $50.00 Crafty Secret's product giveaway! *******

But first, let me share my project with you! I decided to create a little album of my house using the Crafty Secret's chipboard house book. All the papers in my album are by Crafty Secrets. There is a time when I may not be in my house anymore, and I wanted to capture all of my favorite details! So if you would like a peek into my home, here is your opportunity! : )

For the cover I used the house stamp from the Home Sweet Home, set. It was colored with my Copic markers. I also used stamps from the Twinkle Stars and Price Tags sets. I added some lace, and some flowers cut from vintage papers and leaves stamped on burlap.
Oh! And some Glimmer Mist, glitter, and pearls!

Here is my bedroom........I again used the Price Tags stamp set to create the label. I added just a bit of lace, buttons, bling, and crackled chipboard.

Next stop? My art room and living room!

I can honestly say that my art room is by far my most favorite room in the house! It surrounds me with all of my favorite STUFF! Did you see my cute pink chandelier above?
I used this butterfly from the Altered Art set. It was colored with Copics and lots of glitter adorned this butterfly! I also added a vintage paper flower and button!

Copiced and glitterfied this too! (See how I made those verbs? LOL!) Also from the Altered Art set.......

And now.....my living room. A warm shade of yellow with accents of red.....love how cozy it is!
I used the Hardware set for this......

Here is a peek into my bathroom.....deep navy blue with lots of white! (Can you tell I like color?)
I used the Message on a Bottle stamp set. It was stamped in Navy, shadows added with Prisma pencils and glitterfied! I also added some Crystal Effects to the bow as well as a tiny pink pearl.

Next room is my kitchen. It is a deep cranberry red with yellow and white accents.
I used the Sweet Stuff stamp set for this page. I colored the mix master the same colors as the picture hanging in my kitchen. I also added Crystal Effects and placed the image on pop dots.

This last page is dedicated to the story of how we got our house. I used the key and sentiment from the Home Sweet Home stamp set. My journaling is tucked inside a glassine bag....and it reads:
This house was Brian's great Aunt Helen's house. She died the year before we got married. Brian bravely asked his grandpa if we could purchase the house from him. He gladly sold it to us. Our down payment was one dollar. Yep. One Dollar. We thought this would be a "starter" home, but it ended up being our permanent "starter" home. We put a 2bedroom/bath addition on and have made many renovations since. It is the place where are babies have been born, our dogs adopted, our sorrows expressed, and our joys shared. It is our home.
And now for my GIVEAWAY!!! All you have to do is leave a comment and on Saturday, May 1st, I will pick a winner using Random.org. Please leave an e-mail address so I can contact you. If you don't leave me one, I will have to pick a different winner!
Be sure to check the Crafty Secret's Blog each day for new giveaways, new inspiration, and the other DT members' projects/giveways!
Thanks so much for visiting!

Life is a Bowl of Cherries....

Sometimes it is sweet.....and sometimes the pits! : ) I created this card, With a Cherry on Top Kit from Amy at Caffinated Cropper! This kit is just so stinking cute! I totally adore this stamp set by Shabby Green Door! I colored the bowl with my Copics and covered it with Crystal Effects. I added some pearls and red rhinestones to the cherries. I did use my Copic airbrush to give it a bit of pink color. Isn't this eyelet trim the sweetest? And the fabric? LOVE it!

And make sure you head to the Crafty Secret's Blog for Day 2 of inspiration and Giveaways! Today's Blog candy and project is found at Pam Hooten's Blog!!!

The Name Challenge!

This week's challenge over at Noel's Challenge Blog was to scrap about your name. I am sure that some people have some very poetic reasons behind their name. Something special. Mine? Not so much. The only thing I can say, is that my parents thought they were having a boy. So they decided they liked the name Michael. To their surprise I turned out to be a girl! The closest thing to Michael I guess was.....Michele. That's it. End of story. Nothing special. I wasn't named Faith or Hope, or Tuesday for the day I was conceived, or after some important relative. Nope. But nonetheless, it is my name. And kind of a pretty name, if I do say so myself! So even though it has no spectacular meaning behind it.....it's my name. (Oh geez, just started thinking about that song from the Ting Tings.......That's not my name......LOL!)

I used Noel's Playdate kit (sold out) and lots of Glimmer Mist!
Flashback ALERT!!! If you were a child of the 70's....do you remember this mural wallpaper? If you had any in your house, I would LOVE it if you shared what your mural was! It just cracks me up to see this! : )

Check out the other gal's LO's on the challenge blog! I hope you can join us!
