Retro Toaster!

Good morning!
I was going through old pictures and came across this one.  It was a card I had made when I was on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen Design Team.
I thought is was such a cute idea to write your sentiment on the bread part that pops up!
(Little things in life thrill me! LOL!)

The cut is by Silhouette.  I added a bit of glitter, a sparkly button, rhinestone  (Because who doesn't like a blinged up toaster?), and a bit of ribbon.

I am keeping my post short and sweet today!
Have a great day friends!

70th Birthday!

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Yesterday we celebrated my dad's 70th birthday!

I created as manly of a card as I possibly could! Masculine is not my strong suit! ;) I feel lost without ribbon and glitter! LOL!
I used a Lawn Fawn number die with water color paper and while the die was in place sponged Tim Holtz inks on top of it.  I splashed water on it to get the cool pooling effect.

The numbers 7 and 0 were given a coating of black enamel as well as the birthday sentiment from Spellbinders.  I added a piece of acetate behind the panel, some foam tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and a generous helping of sequins to create the shaker element.

I took a few pics from yesterday.....and this one of my dad and Cort is my favorite!

My sister, dad, and I.

My dad with the four grandchildren.

I am off to work!
Thank you for stopping by!
