Vintage Rose

Good morning all! I hope you've had a good week! I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you today. I colored this Rose image when I attended the Circle Crop a month or so ago. I love coloring and this image required a lot of it! ; ) I used Copics and cut the image out with my square Spellbinder's die. The edges were inked. I used a Spellbinder's Lacey Square's frame to matte the image. The papers are by Papertrey and October Afternoon. I used a bit of lace from SU! and vintage buttons. I snuck a doily in at the bottom and a few pearls.

So what's on the agenda for you this weekend? We are hanging out at home, hoping to open our pool.....which seems rather silly considering yesterday was only 47 degrees! But it has to get warmer at some point right? ; ) Kyle has his 8th grade trip downtown today......which just reminds me how quickly the school year and graduation are approaching.
It is also my 18th wedding anniversary this weekend........but we've decided to celebrate at home. No big fancy celebration this year.....just a quiet dinner and bottle of wine here. Be sure to check back this weekend.....I will have a scrappy page to share with you!

Have a great day today!!!!!

JustRite Blog Hop With Stamper's Dream!

Good morning! What a fun day today is going to be! JustRite has paired up with the super talented Stamper's Dream girls for tons of inspiration and some fun giveaways! Be sure to read to the bottom of the post for your chance to win some amazing prizes!

For my card today, I used JustRite's Family Garden set. I love this gorgeous set because I am such a flower girl.....and these are just perfect! I stamped them in pink, orange, and red using my Colorbox Inks. I cut them out, inked the edges, applied glossy accents, and sprinkled glitter over them. I also added pearls to their centers. I popped them up with foam dots for added dimension. I cut the image with a rectangular Spellbinder's die. I airbrushed it with Copic B000. I cut a larger rectangle and cut out the center to create a shadowbox effect. I stamped the sentiment on vellum using black StazOn ink.
I added two colors of seam binding, a vintage button, and a Maya Road stick pin.

The butterfly was a leftover cut from my Cricut machine. Can't have a garden without a pretty butterfly can you? ; )

The amount of inspiration you will get today during the Stamper's Dream/JustRite Design Team Blog hop is amazing!! So grab your favorite jolt of caffeine and sit back and enjoy all the JustRite Projects from this UBER TALENTED group of designers!! And while your visiting each blog be sure to leave a little love for all their inspiring work. Along the way we have 3 Mystery Blog Candies hidden somewhere along the Hop. Handmade With Love......

Good morning! I have a card to share with you that I created just for fun! It doesn't happen often.....the creating just for fun thing.....but every now and then I am able to squeak one out! I couldn't resist purchasing this new stamp by Papertrey Ink. It is sooooo up my alley! I inked it with a peachy Colorbox Ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder on to set it. I added glittered buttons, a bit of seam binding, and a Teresa Collins stick pin. I paired that with some October Afternoon paper and a doily to finish it off. I love all of its vintagey, glittery goodness!

OH! and I inked and glittered this tiny little wooden bobbin! Love these little things!

My husband's best friend got married over the weekend......and you'd swear we were the ones getting married.....or better yet.....going to prom or something! I bought a new dress for the occasion and he insisted he buy a shirt and tie to match. We caught slack about it all night! But really? I thought it was kind of sweet. So here we are......looking all "Prom" like! (Of course add some wrinkles and a few pounds!; )
