Since you girls couldn't make it to the game today.......I thought I'd share some photos of the Jordans' special day! TV crew were present! All the moms got roses from each for the cheerleaders and basketball players....there was music.....all in all just a touching sentimental day.
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Dream
Well, it is finally Friday! I am scrapping with the Divas tonight. I can't wait to get together with these girls! I am planning on making Kyle's birthday invites since his birthday is less than 2 weeks away. Anyway, I wanted to share this little acrylic block that I altered. I used one of my favorite pics of Cortney and used my favorite stamp set by Crafty Secrets, Fairyland. I stamped the Bluebells and colored them in using Prismas. I stamped the word Dream and cut it apart for added interest. I used Modge Podge to adhere the mini LO to the back of the block. I added a rub -on to the front and another stamped flower that I cut out. I added a rhinestone to the center.

Did I Ever Show You?
I don't think I ever posted this LO......if I did I apologize!!! I just had to share this cutie pie picture of my dog, Skippers. He is most lovable, sweet natured dog I have ever had. He takes the best photos! Of course I have turned into one of those crazy dog owners who dress up their pets! But look how stinking cute he is! It doesn't matter that I spent nearly twenty bucks on a costume he wore a measly 2 minutes! LOL!
I completed this LO on my scrap weekend with the girls. I used Lots of vintage goodies I got from my sweet blogger friend, Mary Ann. (Great Etsy shop, btw!!!)
And in case you were wondering......we didn't lose one single student today at the Field Museum! : )
Fairyland
I really love this new set by Crafty Secrets called Fairlyand. It is packed with so many beautiful images! I decided on this image because I loved the sentiment! This image was colored in with Copics. I airbrushed the background. I used my Nesties for the matte. I used Dew Drops, Papertrey Ink ribbon, felt flower, button and floss to finish it off.
Well off to the Field Museum today with my 5th graders. Always fun to take 90 kids downtown all day! We are seeing an exhibit about the Mayas, Incas, and Aztecs. I know how jealous you must feel right now............LOL! Have a great day in whatever you are doing!

Love Story.......again!
Noel Mignon's Love Story kit is so versatile. Some of the papers are incredibly soft and feminine, while others look more rustic. This first LO is of my sweet niece Katie. She is 18 months old and has the cutest personality and little face! I went a little crazy clustering around the Melissa Frances frame......sometimes I just need to tell myself to STOP!
This second LO, also used the Love Story kit, but I chose the papers with more earthy colors to match the feel of Epcot. (We went to Disney this past October!) The only things I added were a few embellishments I picked up while in Disney. The orange ribbon is from the Picnic Basket Add on kit.
This is my son taking a break from the heat....in England I think! I just loved how quaint these little buildings were!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! Have a great day!!

Joy
Some weekends leave you feeling happy and content with your life.......this weekend was one of those! I spent a lot of alone time with my daughter Cortney. Kyle spent time with his dad and grammy. Today, Cort and I and a few friends headed down to Chicago to the American Girl Doll Store. We had lunch, shopped, took tons of pictures, and laughed our butts off. It was a sweet, memorable day........one that will stay with me for a long time. So since this has been a weekend filled with Cortney, I wanted to share a page with you that I created. I cut the tree freehand using a scrap piece of cardboard. The "leaves" were cut using vintage book paper and then distressed a bit. The stamps were Crafty Secret's Fairyland set. (Just released and available for purchase!) I used a chipboard frame for her picture and covered that with DP. When it was dry I cut it out using an Xacto knife and then sanded the edges.
