Yes....Another Crafty Secrets card!

I am probably boring you with all of my Crafty Secrets cards lately! I just can't help myself! I just got a bunch of new stamps to play with and love working with these images! For this card I used Crafty Secrets paper and their stamps. I colored this gal in with my Copics and then added some glitter to her wings. There is a red velvet circle behind her, and behind that is a paper doily. I did some machine sewing and added some little buttons and a Hedi Swapp ghost flower.

Well, off to the store to buy Halloween prizes for my party on Friday!

Bitten by the Bug Challenge!

The challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the Stamped cartridge's flower. The paper is by K & Company. I braided the "stems" with floss. I cut the flowers in two sizes and added buttons and floss. The sentiment is by Stampendous. I also stitched the card using my trusty sewing machine! The card is prettier in person, it looks more yellow in the picture.

I'm getting ready for my yearly Halloween party! 20 kids all ten and eleven years old! I got my work cut out for me this week.....gotta get busy!

Altered Egg Carton

As you know I participated in a Halloween swap over at the Witches Cauldron. (Elizabeth and Simone). One of the requirements of the swap was to make an altered item. I decided on an egg carton. I spray painted the egg carton black. The image is from Crafty Secrets. I added various embellishments: buttons, crocheted flowers, plastic spiders, and black spider webby ribbon.
On the inside I took these tiny plastic cups and altered each one with a Halloween item and a jewelry tag to indicate what was inside. I filled each cup with little things, like sequins, brads, flowers etc.... The recipient was Mary, of a Very Mary Design. I am now saving more egg cartons....I'm thinking Christmas....or Easter....
And on a personal note....closed the pool officially today. Sort of sad really. This means the holidays are around the corner....presents to buy....parties to plan! I miss the laid back days of summer with no schedules and sleeping in!
