JustRite's Friday Challenge!

Good morning! Today is JustRite's Friday Challenge day! The challenge this week is to color your stamps directly with markers. I used JustRite's 2" You're So Sweet set and pulled out my very dusty SU! markers for this challenge. I was surprised they didn't disintegrate when I pulled the cap off! Yes, it has been that long since I've used them last. I just colored the two parts of the stamp and did a breathy huff to moisten them before I stamped on paper. I cut them out with various circle Spellbinder's dies. The edges of the smallest circle were glittered and I added a little clear dangly piece to hang off the bottom. (Words are escaping me today......sorry for the in precise wording!) I also added a few pearls to finish it off. The entire box was cut using a Big Shot die that I ordered from SU! I love that you can put little gifts, candy, etc inside for the recipient.
See the clear little "dangly" thing? What the heck is that thing called?

JustRite has all of their Memento Markers on sale, so be sure to check that out! Check out the JustRite blog to see what the other DT gals have come up with for this week's challenge.

It has been quite the week! Cortney had the flu....and then I got a touch of it. Ick. We are finally over that when I got a Dodgeball injury. Yep. Teachers Vs. Students on Wednesday. I am good. I got kids out left and right......but unfortunately I used muscles in my body that haven't been used in a long time......or ever. ; ) I think it is sign of getting too old to play Dodgeball! ; ) Kyle got his acceptance letter to a private high school that he wants to go to next year.......so that was pretty exciting! Tomorrow we get our taxes done. Fun. Cort has a basketball game and then we are going to dinner with the kids. Sunday is my PJ day.....and crafting day. My most favorite day of the week. Annnnnnnnnndddd.......Monday? The kids and I have off! Woooohooo!
Have a great weekend! Hope you are doing something fun!

Tea Anyone?

Good morning! It is Wednesday already! : ) I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you today using the new Tea With Alice set. I paper pieced the teapot and cup with a bit of Copic coloring. Glitter and glossy accents were added to the cookies and flower. I used a Labels 14 Spellbinder's die. I used designer paper at the bottom of the die cut and a piece of doily......I wanted it to look like it was sitting on a table. Hopefully, I succeeded! ; )
For some reason I can't think of who makes this paper......they were leftovers from Cortney's Halloween LO I posted last week. Cosmo Cricket maybe?
I am running a bit late this morning.......so I have to make this short!
Have a wonderful day!

A Little Paper Sack!

Good morning to you! Cort is feeling much better, not 100% but better. Her appetite is slowly increasing and she is keeping the food down.......and drinking, which is good! I am attempting to send her back to school today and myself back to work. I hope it isn't too soon!

I bought a package of mini paper sacks and have been having a ball decorating and altering them. I have a few more to show you in the days ahead, but here is my first one. I used lots of scraps that I had saved from various papers and bits. A little Theresa Collins, a little Jenni Bowlin, and a few spare pieces I had printed from my Imagine machine and the Yummy Cartridge. (The hearts ) I even had a spare leaf cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. Waste not want not! Inside the little bag is a tag with a little letter I wrote to Kyle for Valentine's Day. I love that it is hidden inside the bag.
The center heart was glittered with some Doodlebug glitter. The brad and orange pom pom trim are by SU!
I love all of the dimension of these little creations! : )
Thank you so much for popping by for a visit! They are always so appreciated!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day to you! I am home today with a sick one......the flu bug has hit our house......it is most unpleasant! I have been doing lots of laundry and disinfecting. So today I will be taking care of my girl.......and hoping she feels better soon. Today I have a card to share with you using the Cricut Chore Chart cartridge. I had this stamp from ages ago and thought the lawn mower image was a perfect match! I cut the lawn mower at 2" and used all of the layer functions. The grass was cut using my Martha Stewart fringe scissors. The paper is Papertrey Ink and Cosmo Cricket. I added a small jewelry tag and punched a tiny heart to tie to the bottom of the card. Even though this card is for my hubby, it couldn't escape being glittered! (He is a modern man.....he'll like the glitter! ; )
Hope your Valentine's is wonderful!!! Thank you for stopping by!
