Easter Wishes!

Good morning! Happy Easter Eve to you!
I am heading into the kitchen to start preparing food for tomorrow.
As of yesterday I wasn't even sure I was hosting Easter. Cort hasn't been doing so great, my mom has been sick, and my FIL fell a couple of days ago.  But so far everyone has said they would like to stop for dinner and at least visit a little while. I am sure Cort will love seeing her grandparents.
I used a sentiment and this Easter basket from Craft Secret's     digital collection. I colored the eggs and basket with Copics, gave them a bit of glossy accents and sprinkled each with a touch of glitter. The sentiment was given a light coating of glossy accents as well and dipped in clear German Glass Glitter.
I matted the image with polka dot vellum, and Spellbinder's pierced rectangle. The rectangle's edges were dipped in glossy accents and then the German Glass Glitter.  I just couldn't get enough of the sparkle!
I am off to immerse myself in the kitchen for next few hours!
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Thanks for popping in!

JustRite's April Release-Pet Sympathy Sentiments

Good morning!  I am off today and couldn't be happier! I have another new JustRite stamp set to share today.  The set is called, Pet Sympathy Sentiments.  I decided not to use it as a sympathy set, but rather as a treat box for a new pet, or their birthday.
These boxes can be found at the SRM Sticker store.
I tied each one with twill ribbon. I stamped the border stamp on cream card stock and adhered that to the bottom of the box.
The heart was stamped in black, colored with red Copic, cut out, and given a generous dose of glossy accents. I love Shrinky Dinks and decided to make Shrinky Dink stick pins with the cat and dog. Before I shrank it, I colored them with Copic markers.  The colors always get darker when you shrink it down.  ;)
If you love cats and dogs, this is a perfect set to have!

****I am off today and hoping to get Cortney out of the house for a bit.  We are planning on getting together with her BFF to see Cinderella.  I am hoping this will cheer her up a bit today!

Have a great day my friends!

Chevrons and Flowers!

Good morning! As promised, I have my chevron card that I mentioned yesterday.  I seem to be a day late and dollar short often these days.

I used the new chevron background stamp by JustRite.  I stamped it in a turquoise blue and cut it out.  I popped it up with Scrapbook Adhesives white foam tape.
I stamped the flowers from the Applique Flowers set by JustRite, with Versamark, and heat embossed it in white. I used my Peerless watercolors to add color. I cut out each flower and leaf and used foam tape to stack them. I stamped the chevrons one more time on a back panel in a sunny orange color. I added coordinating pearls as a final touch.
Here are the two sets I used.

**** Update*** on Cortney.  Last week she had her Botox injections to the adductors and hamstrings.  The purpose was to relax those muscles and make it easier  for her to walk. (Not independently, but short distances with assistance)  For this to happen she also has to wear knee immobilizers for six weeks.  Unfortunately, this has caused her skin to break down, blisters to form, and her knees to become swollen and inflammed.  I took her back to the doctor yesterday and they took blood work to make sure she doesn't have an infection.
This has been so hard on her and as her mom it breaks my heart.
I miss my happy, smiley girl......

Please pray that she begins to heal and that her spirits improve...
Thank you so much for stopping today!

JustRite's April Release-Grand Handwritten Sentiments

Good morning to you!  It is almost the start of a new month and that means it is time for JustRite's April Release!  There are actually two sets being released today, but I didn't get a chance to photograph my second card.  So I will make you wait until tomorrow to see it! ;)
So for today let's talk about the new set called, Grand Handwritten Sentiments.  I used it to make a get well card....more specifically, a shaker get well card! I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it in red.  The soup bowl was cut using my Silhouette.
I created a shaker card using acetate and foam tape.  I had an old Martha Stewart alphabet punch for the letters and mixed it with some clear beads.  For my final touches I added the letters, S-O-U-P, a spoon, acrylic flower, and ribbon.
I love this sentiment set!  Perfect for so many occasions!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects! They always knock my socks off with their creativity!
