Show Your Support!

Good morning! As many of you know, JustRite hosts a Friday challenge every week, and this week it is called, Show your Support! The challenge is to create a sympathy card. This is my most difficult card to make. When choosing colors I try to pick colors that aren't too flashy or bright. I opted here for a Earthy color palette. The papers are by Papertrey Ink and Memory Box. I used various Spellbinder's dies: Beaded Oval, scalloped oval, oval, and fancy tags. The sentiment is part of the Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse set.

For my finishing touches I added rhinestones and a pretty satin bow.
Be sure to head on over to the JustRite Blog to see the other designer's beautiful cards!

What's on the agenda this weekend you ask? Well, let me tell you it is pretty darn exciting.....don't be gettin' all jealous on me now..........I am........Shampooing CARPETS! Are you green with envy? Our living room couches and tables are being delivered next week, so it is time to get rid of the old, clean up and start with a clean slate.....so to speak! We are going to watch Toy Story 3 with the kiddos too. I know, I know, my exciting life is killin' ya!
Have a great weekend! : )

Mini Altered Photo Frames!

Good morning and happy Thursday to you! I purchased these tiny photo frames for a photo tree I have in my living room, ages ago! I guess I was supposed to put photos in those frames.....imagine that! I decided instead to alter them a bit. I used the new Double sided Vintage Photo scraps from Crafty Secrets. I love these images of the girls....they are so darling! I cut them to the appropriate size and added Platinum Stickles to the edges. ( Thanks Julie for this new obsession of mine!) While that was drying I added rhinestones to the flower centers. I die cut two hearts, one scalloped, one plain using Spellbinders. I applied Crystal Effects and sprinkled the entire thing with clear Martha Stewart glitter. I adhered it to the frame and placed the sentiment over it.

Aren't these images the sweetest?
I am off to work........ have a wonderful day!!! Thanks so much for popping over for a visit!

And in celebration of JustRite’s 9th and 10th weeks of Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 15, with free shipping within the U.S. -- Don't forget to tell Santa!!

For my Christmas project today, I used the snowflake from the new Sparky & Friends cling set!
I don't emboss very much these days, so I decided to dust off the ole' embossing powder and give it a whirl! I stamped them on Inchie Squares with Versamark and then embossed 2 in silver and 2 in gold. I inked each Inchie square in brown ink to age it a bit. I pierced the perimeter of the four squares and hand sewed it using silver and gold thread. The images were matted with gold paper using the Scalloped Squares Spellbinder's die. I then matted that on black glittery paper using the Lacey Squares Spellbinder's die. I stamped the sentiment using the Sparky the Snowman Cling set.
I stamped the sentiment using the Sparky the Snowman Cling set. I cut it out using the Tags Trio Spellbinder's die. I tied it around the snowflakes with silver ribbon and gold cording. I love the look of the nontraditional colors!

Last of Halloween!

Good morning! Are you all coming off of your sugar high? I know I snuck in quite a few pieces of the kids' candy last night! ; )

I have a Crafty Secret's Halloween card to share with you today and a few photos of the kids. My card uses a cute image from the Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. I glittered the edges and used a spider web embossing frame from Provo Craft. I sanded it down a bit further after embossing it to reveal the spider web. I added a bit of tulle and a beaded bat.

I have a few photos of the kids from yesterday. : )
Cortney plays the role of Dorothy.......

Cortney kind of likes this whole trick or treating thing! ; )

She is the cutest Dorothy I've ever seen!

Kyle is the military guy on the right, no cute costumes for this dude..........you know...they are 13!

All in all, our Halloween was great! Weather was fabulous, lots of kids out in costume, Kyle hung out with friends for a bit, and Cortney loved going door to door!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate your visits! : )

Lil Monster!

Good morning and Happy Halloween to you!!! I am busy getting the kids ready for trick or treating and cleaning from last night's pumpkin carving! I have a LO today of my cutie pie fur baby, Skippers. Honestly, he is the best dog I've ever owned.....he is so tolerant and gentle hearted. He is such a love! Just look at the adorable face! (Not that I am partial or anything!) I used Noel Mignon's 31st kit from last year and my Cricut machine to cut the monster. (Lil' Monster Cartridge) The banner was also cut using my Cricut machine. (Country Life cartridge.)

I am hoping to get some pics of the kiddos today in their costumes! I will share those tomorrow! Happy Halloween everyone! Be safe and happy trick or treating!!! : )
