Some Quick Cards!

Have you been over the the Noel Mignon Message board this week? There is a new Santa's Workshop Forum that is jam packed with holiday ideas!!! I am posting this morning to the "Mail Room" for some quick holiday cards!
I love to color images.......but let's be honest, they can be time consuming right? So, sometimes we need a quick card....no coloring required. Use preprinted lil' images and add a few special touches...........l
......like a glittery felt snowflake, a jingle bell, and some rhinestones!

Here is another card I whipped up........but right at the moment I am having a complete brain fart......because I can't remember who makes this sweet vintage image. If you know, please let me in on the secret........it's driving me crazy that I can't remember!!!

I added a green glittery snowflake.........who says snowflakes can't be green???

And did a bit of stitching along the velvet ribbon and image.....for a homemade feel..... : )

Hope you head on over to the message board for a visit.......because if you are looking for holiday/gift ideas.....it is the place to go!!!!

Well, we took Kyle to see the Addam's Family.........it was good, I think he enjoyed it, but let me just say, that I was a bit surprised at some of the innuendos that were made. It made watching the play with your 12 year old a tad uncomfortable. I have to remind myself that he will be 13 soon......but still!
Tonight is Cort's night....with her dad. They are going to a father/daughter dance. She has a special dress and party shoes......hopefully, I get a good picture of my girl!
Busy weekend ahead.......computer time will be limited! So have a GREAT weekend!!!!

Another Bucket!

I told you I made 10 buckets for gifts, so here is another one! I used Noel Mignon's Dear Santa kit (sold out), for the patterned paper and my Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge for the mittens. I inked the edges of the mittens and added glitter to the cuffs. I punched two snowflakes, inked their edges, and sprinkled glitter on all of them. A red rhinestone was added to the center of the snowflakes and then added to the mittens. The little tag is from Quickutz and will eventually bear the name of the recipient who will receive this lil' gift.

I am realizing that my ribbon is a bit cock-eyed........ah well........*sigh*

I am going to see the Adam's Family play in downtown Chicago this evening with Brian and Kyle. Cort is staying back with a sitter. Every now and then we like to do things with each of them separately. Tonight is his night. : )
Have a FABULOUS Thursday!!!! : )

Last Minute Gift Ideas by JustRite!

I don't know about you but sometimes buying "token" gifts are the hardest. How do you show someone you appreciate them without breaking the bank? Well......how about some trial size bath products, a dollar bucket from Target, and some stamps and paper? The presentation is half the gift! I have made 10 buckets so far.....here is a sampling of 3 I did. I used the new square stamps and the little gingerbread boy from the Favorite Occasions set. He was colored twice with Copics, cut out, and then Crystal Lacquer was added to his body. When he was dry, I used a pop dot to place the two images together. I created a little scene with the square stamped image being the base. I added a tree cut from DP, some mica flakes for snow, a pretty bow tied with a button. I added this entire scene to a large snowflake cut with my Sizzix. The snowflake was cut, distressed with ink, and glitter was added. After that, just tie the whole thing to a bucket with twine! : )

I used shredded music paper and doilies for the inside of the bucket.

I think I need to work on my photography skills......

I will be showing you more tag/bucket ideas later this week..... : )
Head on over to the rest of the DT's take on this fabulous challenge! Their projects are AMAZING!

Bitten by the Bug Blog Hop & Some Blog Candy!

This week's BBTB Blog Hop is hosted by Regina! She challenged us to use the phone cut from the, In The Kitchen, cartridge. I decided to go traditional and create a black phone. Of course my black phone had to glittery.......cuz I am alllll about the sparkle! (It is a bit hard to see in the photo though.....) I did create a card that can open by using the shadow cut twice, scoring both pieces on the right, and then adhering those scored sides together. I love pink and black together, (as evidenced by my black and pink scrap room!) so I used some old Doodlebug paper for the rotary dial piece and my JustRite stamp set called, Just a Note. I cut the circle with my Spellbinders and airbrushed the center while the die was still in place. I finished it off with a Prima flower/button and a pink bow.

Now for my blog candy...........
Here is what ya get!
1. Brand new Creative Scraps by Crafty Secrets! Can you say deliciously retro?
2. Maya Road Journaling tags
3. doilies
4. Martha Stewart Mica flake glitter.
5. Maya Road Kraft envelopes
6. Gel-a-Tins Stamp set.
Just leave a comment for me and you will be entered into my drawing! If you become a follower or subscribe using Feedblitz I will enter your name in twice. I will print out all the names and have Kyle pull a name randomly by Wednesday night.
Movin' on with the blog hop......your next stop is.............Carole!
