Some More Sneak Peeks!!

It is another exciting day of blog hopping over Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! Sandy and I are your blog hopping gals today. These two cards were both made using the new Turkey Day set coming out. I colored both with my Copics and cut all the images out. I scrunched the turkey's feathers a bit to give him dimension. Just added a few embellishments and he was complete!
For this card I used a sketch by Taylor a couple of weeks ago. I love this sketch for small stamps! It gives the card BIG impact! After coloring and cutting out 8 pies.....yes 8 pies!!!!I added Crystal effects to each. I used my Spellbinders Nestibilities for the circles. I cut up the sentiment and added a little heart. I finished it off with a pretty bow and stick pin!
The Blog Hop Ends Sunday with Laurie and Korin. After that head on over for the release party at the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog!!!!
Have a great weekend!!

Sneaky Peeky!

Sweet 'n Sassy is hosting a blog hop this weekend! It started on Wednesday and runs through the weekend! You NEED to start at the Sweet 'n Sassy blog and check out all the gals' creations! They are sooooo good! I think I've mentioned that fall is my favorite time of the year, so when Korin showed us these samples a few months ago, I was super excited! I colored this guy in with my Copics and cut him out. I inked over him with Tim Holtz, Aged Paper ink to dirty up his clothes a bit. A scarecrow shouldn't have bright clean clothes for pete's sake! They sit outside all day scaring crows away! LOL! I also added some texture to his overalls by taking a rag and wetting it down with blending solution. I dabbed his overalls and got this cool effect! (Click on the picture if you want to see it up close) The paper is SU! The blue paper was just laying on my desk....along with the other million scraps! So I am not sure who's paper it is! I also added a few felt leaves and twine to finish it off. Check out Christi and Faith's blogs. They are today's hosts!

So what is everyone up to this weekend? We are going to Michigan for a few days. This means no scrapping, blogging, or stamping.....BOO HOO! I will do a few pre posts for the blog hop though! That's ok though....I think I need to reconnect with my family and get my butt off the computer and out of my scrap room! Pretty soon, I will be like that guy....what's his name? Howard Hughes? Didn't he lock himself in his room and pee in jars? He couldn't leave because of some phobia? Well, pretty soon my family is going to send a search party in my room.....I'm in there a lot! (Don't worry though....I haven't resorted to peeing in jars just yet! LOL)

Check back for some more sneak peeks tomorrow and Sunday!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!

I'm Addicted!

To what you ask? Are you wondering if I am really a closet drinker, or drug addict? That would explain a lot wouldn't it? LOL! NAh, nothing like that....I am totally addicted to vintage book paper! I just bought myself some old Children's picture books to cut up and use for scrappin and cards! I decided to stamp this gorgeous Artful Inkables flower on the vintage book paper in Versamark. I sprinkled the black embossing powder and heat that baby up! I still love watching it melt! The DP is October Afternoon and SU! The buttons are just from my stash. I used 3 coordinating ribbons to finish it off!

I wanted to thank all of you for voting for me at the JustRite blog! I won first place! I am really excited! Not only do I get to do some shopping, but I will have the honor of being a guest blogger in September. There are 2 more weeks left of this contest, so hop on over and check it out! I want to see your name on their blog! : )

And lastly, Sweet 'n Sassy is hosting their blog hop this week! The girls have some fantastic sneak peeks that are coming out September 1st! I will have a few peeks at the new sets later this week!!

That's all for tonight....I am going to pour me a tall glass of vodka on the rocks......JUST KIDDING! (I'm in rare form tonight aren't I?)

Happy Thursday!

Gettin' Ready for Halloween!

I have to admit that as much I enjoy summer, fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler weather, the smell of the air, the colors, and of course, Halloween! I love this new set by Crafty Secrets! The images are fun and whimsical. I found these clear boxes at Michaels and wanted to try and alter them. Unfortunately, I didn't have any Halloween candy to put inside......yet! I bought a new border punch by Martha for the "slime." The images were colored with Copics and then cut out. I work in a school and I am always looking for little gifts for my coworkers. But of course they would prefer some candy in it!

I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to vote on the JustRite blog for me! I really appreciate it!

Happy Wednesday!

Flocky Chick!

Raise your hand if you played with Shrinky Dinks as a kid! (Me, Me!!! I did!) Well now you can play again with them as an adult! I punched out circles with my large Marvy punch and stamped my image with Staz on ink. I used my teeny hole punch for 2 holes to recreate a "button." Then you can either bake them the old fashioned way....in the oven, or use your heat gun. (Heat gun is my preference because it is much faster!) Did you notice the little yellow feather sticking out of the button? (Did I go a bit overboard with the chick theme? LOL!)

Here's another question for you....how many of you have flock but it just sits there unused? You thought you needed EVERY color at the time you bought them, but now they just collect dust!? Here are 3 ways I used flock on this LO. The first was with the title. I used Red Line sticky sheets. I ran them through my Sizzix machine to create the letter. Peel the red tape off and sprinkle with flock. (Both sides of the letters are sticky, so once you have sprinkled off the excess flock, peel the backing off and attach to your LO). Now I have soft, touchable title. I also took a plain white brad, covered the top with glue, then sprinkled the flock over it.

This cute chipboard shape was included in the Picnic Basket Add-on kit. I also covered him with glue and sprinkled flock on him.

Here is my finished LO! It is now cute AND "cuddly!"And just so you know, this entire LO was from the Picnic Basket kit and Picnic Basket Add on kit. With the exception of the title, vintage yellow buttons and photo anchor. (There are only 7 kits left......Grab one quick!)

It is the final day for voting at the JustRite blog. If you get a chance, head on over to vote! It only takes a few seconds! Thanks so much for all of your kind comments and of course those votes! : )

Bitten by the Bug Meets JustRite!

I know a lot of you have already seen this project over at the JustRite blog....but technically, it was for this week's BBTB challenge. We were to use the Cake Box cut from the Tags, Boxes, and More cartridge. I decided to incorporate my JustRite stamp to personalize my Thanksgiving favor boxes. I also used a new Sweet 'n Sassy stamp, the pie! It is a sneak peek, because it hasn't come out yet! It will be released on September 1st! If you haven't had a chance to pop on over the JustRite blog, please go on over and cast your vote for your favorite JustRite project. Mine made it to the Top 5 and I am so hoping to win! The other ladies have created some really great projects too! The voting ends Tuesday night....I am keeping my fingers crossed til then! Thanks so much!
