Caffinated Cropper Blog Hop!

I am excited to be a guest designer for Caffinated Cropper! Amy (owner of Caffinated Cropper), put together this adorable kit called, With a Cherry on Top! It has the cutest papers and embellishments in it! I have two projects to share with you using this super cute kit! The first one is a card using the sticker from EAD Designs. I had this chipboard "window" from another project of mine and decided to use it here. I added a flower I created and finished it off with red/white twine with another sticker as my sentiment.

I saw this big ole' chipboard cherry and knew I had to make a magnet for my fridge! My kitchen is red and white and this works perfectly with my decor! Everything you see here comes in the kit, except the glitter and the pics of my two kids! (Unless you want me to send them to you....LOL!)

The kit even has a little Shimmerz spray..........LOVE it! It covered up that chipboard with a deep iridescent red color.....so pretty IRL!

Be sure to check Amy's blog.....The Caffinated Cropper to check out all the great specials she has going on!
Be sure to check out the other designer's work.........they are all FABULOUS!!! A 6 x6 pad of Kaiser Craft Lilac Avenue paper will be given to a random poster! So be sure to leave a bit of love for the designers!

In Case You Missed It....

........on the JustRite blog the other day...... : ) It is the cute lil' monkey from the, Let's Celebrate set. I adore this new set!!! I colored this fella in with my Copics. The banana was stamped a second time, colored, cut out, Crystal Lacquered and placed on a pop dot. The square around him was stamped in Papertrey Ink's Pure Poppy on Kraft card stock. The banana paper is Daisy D's. It is pretty old paper from my stash! I added a bit of twine....not ribbon this time, because I thought ribbon would overpower the image. The sentiment was stamped with a 25pt Times New Roman Font in black Momento ink. A few rhinestones were added....and voila! It was complete!

Today is Earth Day and we are celebrating at my school. We are finishing up our recycle projects the students started a few days ago. They had to take junk and create a piece of art with it. Some of the projects are AWESOME! Then we are picking up garbage around the school today and watching the movie Oceans. All of us will be sporting our green Earth Day T-shirts too! So on that note.......Happy Earth Day to you!!!!

Bathing Beauty!

Good morning! I am running late for work this A.M. and need to get my butt moving! So it will be a quick one today! I have been scrappin' some of my kids' 8 x 10 photos and getting them in the albums. This picture is of Cort when she was only 3. I used to love staging her photos and putting props in. So we decided to use her "therapy" ball. It was tricky getting her to stand and in the meantime.....she had a little "accident" on the photographer's satin sheet. (ooops!) I guess that's the price you pay when you photograph kids! : ) I used Noel's Sonoma County kit here. (sold out!) I also incorporated an EK Success paper doll from about 10 years ago.......remember these? I dressed her up in a itty bitty bathing suit too! (Just shows you how long I hold onto stuff! No wonder my room is always cluttered! LOL!

Off I go to work!!! Have a great one!!!!!

JustRite's April Blog Hop!

Happy Tuesday to you! JustRite is holding an April Blog Hop to share all of the new releases! They are absolutely gorgeous!!! I am sharing the new set called Applique. When I saw this set, I immediately thought of a quilt. I used various Papertrey colors to stamp the background. (Zesty Orange, Ripe Avocado, Hibiscus Burst) I scored the boxes around the images with my Scor Pal. I stamped the sentiment in Ripe Avocado and used my Scalloped square by Spellbinders to matte the sentiment. The flower is part of the Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms II die set. I used vintage book paper and added a button tied with twine. The leaves were stamped on cross stitching fabric and cut out. The ribbon is also Papertrey Ink. I added pearls as a finishing touch.

Dreams......

The season of graduations is upon us and I thought I'd better get crackin' on some cards for the occasion! I used the Cutting Cafe's Star's Background set. I used Paper Trey's Kraft and Pure Poppy paper. I did a bit of machine stitching, added rhinestones, glitter (that goes without saying! LOL!), and some rhinestone swirls! To add emphasis on the sentiment, I scored above and below it and added 3 rhinestones.

Monday, Monday........mmmmmm. Who sang that song anyway?
Have a great one!
