Last Christmas Card of the Year!

This is it folks.
Last day of 2019.
Last of my Christmas cards.
Has it been a good year for you? Are you glad this year is over?
For me it is always bitter sweet.  With the coming of a new year, it means I am a year older.
It reminds me that life is fleeting. That change can strike at any time.
It's both scary and exciting.
So my wish for all of you, is that you have a healthy, happy New Year. That if life throws you curve balls, you have the strength and support around you to battle through.

Dollar Store Altered Ornaments!

Good morning! I have a couple more Christmas projects to share before I switch gears!
I am great at making the projects, but sometimes terrible at blogging them.
Maybe that should be my New Year's resolution? ;)
I found these cute little jar ornaments at the Dollar Store and knew I had to do something with them.  So I used Whimsy Stamp's Winter Wonderland Snowmen set.
I colored both images using Multi-media paper and the new Karin Brush Markers.  (For specific colors see below) I fussy cut them and left a small "tab" at the bottom to have a place to glue it in the inside lid. Once I had it lined up the way I wanted it, I added the silver glittery snowballs. Because this gal can't get enough of the sparkle, I painted the lid white, painted on Glossy Accents, and sprinkled a chunky Glass glitter over it.
I added ribbon and a couple of jingle bells to the top to finish it off.
I was pretty pleased with my Dollar Store transformation!
I am off to do a few returns and shopping with my men and a little lunch out.
It's been so nice having my family around this past week.  :)
Have a great day and I will be back tomorrow with a last and final Christmas project!

Joy!

Hello my crafty friends!
I hope Santa was good to each of you!
I've had Cortney home this past week so it's been a bit crazy here. We spent lots of time with family, plus baking, shopping, Zoo lights, and Frozen 2.  It hasn't left much time for crafting or blogging.
I have a quiet moment here at home and wanted to post one of my Christmas cards I had previously created.
I used the Floral Oval stamp by Whimsy Stamps.  I colored it with a combination of Copic markers and Polychromo pencils.  I  used white pearl drops for the centers.  I splattered it with a bit of white acrylic paint.
Under the card I added a silver doily and used the Twinkle stencil with Picked Raspberry ink.  I layered everything with Crafty Foam tape.  I added silk ribbon, silver twine, and a few pearls.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Ellie-ments set.
I have a couple more Christmas projects to share over the next few days! I hope you stop on by again to check them out! Have a great day!

Be Merry!

Hello crafty friends!
Can you believe we are just a few days away from Christmas?
Is your shopping done? Wrapping? Baking?
I am not done with anything yet! Yikes!
Maybe because I've spent a little too much time in my craft room....it's all about priorities right? ;)
I love this new die set from Whimsy called, Forest Majesty.  I added a bit of color with Copic markers.  I added a bit of glossy accents and Glamour Dust to the Birch trees.
I used the Stitched Circle die to help "ground" my deer.  I stamped the Wonky Window 3 die with the Tartan Plaid Background stamp using Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry ink.  I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape.  I added red gingham ribbon, jingle bells and a few red sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Reindeer Snorkeler!

Happy Tuesday!
Let the countdown begin!
I still haven't finished my shopping and the clock is running out.  Thank goodness for Amazon Prime! LOL!

Today I have another Whimsy card using this adorable set called,  Scuba Deer.
I colored it using Copics.  I added glossy accents to the watery globe part and let it dry.  Once dry I used a white gel pen to add reflections.
I added twine and a little holly leaf.  For the back ground I used the Puddles Stencil and the Twinkle Stencil to give it some subtle texture.  I used the Cozy Winter 6 x6 paper pad. I mounted the snow globe using Crafty Foam tape and added a few red sequins to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping today!

Slim Line Water Colored Card!

Good morning!
I am headed out to see my daughter at Misericordia this morning.  Her house has an annual Christmas party with the staff and parents. We eat a ton and sing Christmas carols.
It is a sweet thing to see God's special children singing along.  :)
Today I have a slim line card using a bunch of Whimsy products.
I used the Mountain Majesty Die set and the new Karin Brushmarkers to color the die cut pieces.
I popped the Slimline Postage Die up with Crafty Foam Tape and glittered the heck out of it using Glossy Accents and Glamour Dust. I stamped the sentiment on strips of paper and tied rustic twine vertically to attach them.  I added a couple of rusty jingle bells to finish it off.
Enjoy your day!
Thank you for stopping by!
