BLOG CANDY!!!!!! YEAAAAAA!!!!

WOW! I can't believe that 3 weeks ago I didn't even know what "blogs" were! My mom-in-law kept talking about the blogs and some of the women on them. I finally had to investigate what it was that she was talking about. Who would have thought that I would start my own! Thank you for all your nice comments! IT is SOOOO appreciated! I have met such wonderful people in doing this. But enough, down to business.....I am giving away 48 sheets of Making Memories 6 x 6 cardstock, Hot Hues notecards in beautiful pinks and browns (Very Basic Grey like!), and brown envelopes! Here is how it will work....Beth is working on a banner for me and I am desperately trying to come up with a cute Title and Subtitle...Something shorter than Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker....Tell me what you think my banner should say! A random drawing will be held on Wednesday, April 18th! Thanks again!

PAPER TREY! YEA!!!

Ok this is my first attempt at using the Green Thumb set from Paper Trey. The images are so cute that I'm not sure I did it justice. There just aren't enough hours in the day to play! I've only just tipped the iceberg! I used my Colorbox inks and used clear embossing powder on the images. I used a metal tab from Memory Makers, my paper piercer, and a new nifty border punch from Fiskars.

BY THE WAY...I'm almost at 1,000!!!! Any suggestions for how to pick a winner for blog candy? Should I ask a question...or...just pick a random number? Let me know what you think!

Maude

I have met the nicest people through blogging and SCS! It all started when I met my new friend Karyn through a comment I made on one of her "MAude" cards. I thought this was such a funny stamp! She offered to stamp some for me and mail them. I heartily agreed! In return I sent her some Cuttlebug paper! She is such a sweetie! You can see her gallery at SCS: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=86961 So here are my cards! I use Marcella paper, I thought it looked a bit like wallpaper! I also used my PRisma Colored pencils! I am giving her to a friend of mine tonight!

Vacation is Over...Back to Reality!!! :(

Well tomorrow morning it is back to work for me. I have so enjoyed these last two weeks home with my kids and my new "blogging" buddies! I am amazed at the generosity of so many women! It touches my heart and reinstills my faith in people:)

Back to the card....I made this with my new SU! set, Doodle This. I colored it in with my Prisma colored pencils and Mineral spirits. I used my sewing machine and rainbow thread. Had to add a touch of ribbon too! I will be posting my blog candy by the end of the week....nearing that 1,000 mark!!!!!

One Last Easter Project! What's the Next Holiday?

Well Easter is officially over....Didn't we just get done with Christmas? IT must be a sign that I'm getting older, because time just flies by! Anyway, I already posted the tin I made for my mom, now I want to post the clear can I made for my mom-in-law. I bought the tin at a local scrapbook store. I am having a brain freeze because I bought the stamp on-line and can't remember which site it was...if you know please post a comment! The stamp fits perfectly on top of the can. I stamped the image of the eggs several times on 3 different Basic Grey papers and cut them out. I pieced them back together and used my black Souffle pen to outline. I used the crystal dimensions glue on the eggs and added some Iridescent Ice. AS a final touch I used lots of ribbon for the handle. I LOVE that ribbon!

As a side note...I'm getting closer to the 1,000 mark. BLOG candy will be coming soon!!! :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

I actually had a few moments before my guests arrive to write....I am posting a tin that I made my mom, it is a SU! set. It is a "French" chef. I originally thought it would go with her Italy theme in her kitchen until I had been informed by someone at Paper Crafts that the Eiffel Tower is in France....oops! LOL! So here it is, I put a ton of note cards in there that I stamped. Something simple for her to write thank yous and such! Have a really great day!
