I try to live by this motto everyday. I try to enjoy each day and appreciate the little things in life. I don't want to wish the weeks away and constantly look ahead. I want to enjoy the here and now. The days with my children are fleeting and going so very fast. So even though sometimes my weeks get crazy and I'm ready to pull out my hair, I quickly remind myself that it's ok. It's life. It's my very full, but satisfying life.
This weekend I had the pleasure of spending Saturday shopping and having lunch with my little family. We finished buying the things we needed to complete Kyle's room at IKEA. Just some bookshelves and such. That night my sweet hubby and I had a date. He took me to a steakhouse and then a comedy club. (I haven't been to a comedy club in years!) It was fun and I so appreciate the time and energy it took for him to plan our night out together. On Sunday all of us headed to the north side of Chicago to Misericordia's Family Fest. The weather was absolutely glorious. Driving along Lake Shore Drive, we soaked up the sights, the people, and the beautiful weather! Kyle volunteered at the children's games for a few hours while Brian and I played a bit of BINGO and then did our shift in the "Main Tent." Basically we picked up other people's garbage! LOL! I couldn't help looking around and feeling my heart swell at the amount of people there to support such a wonderful organization. (For those of you who don't know what Misericordia is, it is a residential home for disabled children and adults .) I can only hope someday that Cort will have a home there. I pray every night that she will be accepted there. There is NO other place quite like it.
Just a quick page about me. I try to include myself in my books every now and then. My children should know who I am and what I stand for...........I will always tell them to Live Life to the Fullest.

I know it is Monday........but it's all good.........have a great one!
P.S.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! : )
