Fairies...

My mind has left me.....I can't remember if I already posted this.....if I did, I apologize! Lately, all the things I have created can't be shared yet.....so I am getting desperate! This is a Crafty Secret's image that I stamped in Versamark and embossed with black. I brayered over it and then sponged the edges in a darker blue. (Night of Navy). The paper is SU! and Crafty Secrets.

I will be posting later today for some Sweet 'n Sassy Blog candy.....so check back later!

I will be gone this weekend on a scrapbook weekend retreat with friends. OF course I may just go to socialize, because I still have nothing packed! Sad, I know. I am the world's worst procrastinator! Actually my goal is to have some things to share with you for next week. Don't forget to join us on Monday at Noel Mignon's MB for games, challenges, and tons of prizes!

Alrighty then, I think that is everything! Have a great Friday!!!

Sole Sister

Just a quick post tonight.....I have been a bit preoccupied with work, conferences, and running the kids to all of their activities. I don't how you moms of many children do it, because I only have two and feel like all I do is chase! Not complaining, just explaining! LOL! Anyway, this was a card I made awhile ago for a Dirty Dozen Challenge. You were to use a song as your inspiration. I decided on this stamp because it reminded me of the words from Moulin Rouge....Sole Sister.....
The shoe was from the dollar bin at Michaels. I colored it in with my Copics and cut it out. I added some "bling" to the shoe. The paper is Basic Grey. It didn't quite turn out the way I had envisioned, but I guess it is OK.

Next week is Noel Mignon's Crop party! Every day the girls are cooking up awesome challenges and giving away lots of prizes! So starting on Monday go HERE! Hope you can join in the fun!

Holiday Greetings!

I had some extra Papertrey trees from a card I posted a week ago and couldn't bear to throw them away! I wanted to try some white space in the card, which is a bit out of my comfort zone.....as I usually like lots of "stuff" on my cards! It seemed to plain for my liking, so I cuttlebugged it! I added a bit of ribbon tied through the button and it was done! A pretty fast card........for me.

I have parent conferences tonight. I always keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly. I get nervous every year and look forward to when they are done! So while you are watching election coverage I'll be talking to parents about their little darlings! Wish me luck! : )

Some Last Minute Halloween.....

I thought I would post the picture of me from Friday so you could start your day off with a good laugh! All the 5th grade teachers chose a villain from one of the Disney fairy tales. I chose Cruella Deville. (101 Dalmations) I used lots and lots of hairspray and black and silver hair coloring....that yes....took about 8 washing to get out! I didn't wear red heels, instead opting for flats, because I have a tendency to walk like a chicken with heels on! So am I a spitting image or what?

This is a Halloween LO I did of Kyle. I used Noel's Ghost Story kit. (Only one kit left!) He insisted that he was NOT JAck Sparrow......just a "Regular" Pirate! (Hence the title). Whatever he is, I think he makes a pretty cute pirate.

Don't ya love that sparkly, glittery tree? It is by Fancy Pants. (Also included in the Ghost Story kit.)
Did you notice the new Fall blinkie? Well, Mark your calendars! We are holding our very first Crop at Noel Mignon. In celebration of a lot of things. The new message board, Fall, and just because we want some plain ole fun. Hope you will join us November 10th through the 15th for challenges and some prizes and even a few fun games and a make and take. Please join us. We would love to see you.!
***** Just a reminder that I am the host of the color challenge in the SNSS forum. So if you would like to win a free set, hop on over, make a card, and upload it to SCS. Also, the DT members will be offering a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set as blog candy each Saturday throughout the month (except the last Saturday).
