Good morning to you! I finally was able to manage a scrapbook page about our character breakfast in Jamaica this past spring. It already feels like an eternity ago that we went. The characters there were fabulous! They danced, entertained, and made sure to spend a lot of time with each child......especially Cortney. I know Sesame Street is really not age appropriate for a girl of 16, but I also couldn't deny her the chance to meet the characters she has grown up with and still loves. Even my really "cool" 14 year old thought it a wee bit fun! ; ) I used the Sesame Street Font cartridge as well as the Sesame Street Friends cartridge and cut the characters at 3" using all of the layers and shadow function. I inked the edges and even added glossy accents to Cookie's cookie! The sun was cut at 6". The journaling was printed on kraft cardstock and made to look like it is part of the sand!
The palm tree was cut using the Birthday Cakes cartridge and my Gypsy. I wanted to elongate the palm tree to fit my page without being too wide. It was cut at 5.43 x 9.46". I added a bit of brown flock to the coconuts and used my black Copic marker to add the three dots. The star fish were cut at 1" and 1 2/2". They were creased, inked, a bit of glossy accents added, and some real sand sprinkled on top.
Today is our field day at school......which truly marks the end of the year and is always a fun day with the kids!
Tomorrow I will be visiting with my Gram....it is her 91st birthday.......and Sunday I have my girlfriend's son's christening. So a busy weekend ahead for me!
Have a wonderful weekend! I soooooo appreciate your visits here!!!
