I am finally getting around to posting these gorgeous RAK's! I am so sorry for being such a turtle! I get so excited when I receive a card in the mail! I'm just not so good at getting them photographed and bad. (Can you tell I hang around 10 and 11 year olds all day?) Go ahead an take in the beauty of my RAK's!
Aren't I lucky!!?
The gorgeousness of these cards just blows me away!
Love them all!
So sweet!

Thanks so much ladies for making my birthday extra special! Mauhhhh!

I am so glad I have met such wonderful women through this hobby. As you know this week hasn't been the best.....not the worst....but nothing brings a smile to my face more than when I read your sweet comments, or get an e-mail from someone wishing my children or me well. It does a heart to all of you that visit, leave comments, e-mail me, or just keep me in your thoughts, I want you to know that it means a lot to me! Oh, and by the way, Kyle did NOT break his arm! It is just a sprain....thank goodness! NO CAST FOR DISNEY!!! YEA! Today was a much brighter day!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Birthday Wishes!

One of my assignments over at Journaling 101 was to write about an event that happens every year. Instead of just covering the basics, you were to write about why this year was a bit different or special. I chose my niece's birthday. She turned 6 this year. Every year she has cried because she gets overwhelmed easily by noise and confusion. This year was different.....she listened to our singing, blew out her candles.....with no tears! A big accomplishment for a little girl! The LO was created with paper scraps I had and my SU! star punches. The title was created with American Crafts Thickers.

As if enough hasn't happened already......Kyle fell off his skateboard yesterday evening. He woke up this morning and had swelling and pain in his right wrist. I took him to the doctor and then to the hospital for X-rays. We won't get the results until tomorrow. I am praying it is not fractured or broken, because we leave for Disney in a couple of weeks, which would mean no water parks or swimming! On top of this my ramp on my handicapped van is broken! UGH! I was near to tears this evening with all of this crap! I haven't felt like making anything either. My mojo has left the building! I am so tired and crabby by the evening that creating has taken a backseat! I haven't visited anyone's blogs this week either.....just too tired to stay on the computer too long. Tomorrow is a new day right? Hopefully, there will be no more injuries, or things breaking.......

A Good Laugh at My Expense!!!

Go ahead.....laugh! That is me pretending to have graduated in the 70's! Man I wish I really had that head of hair! Why the goofy photo you ask? Noel gave us a link to Yearbook Yourself and asked us to create LO with our new look! It is a fun site that will take you from the 50's through the 80's. (Think BIG hair! LOL) I decided on this one because my head didn't look too goofy! My journaling is actually remembering my child hood in the 70's. (Click on the photo and you can read it.) Aaaaahhhhh, those were the good old days! I used Noel's Homeroom kit for this LO! (LOVE THIS KIT!)

UPDATE*** I went to the dermatologist today. The doctor feels that the lesion on my face is indeed skin cancer. They took a biopsy today and I will get the results next week. They also cut and cauterized it today too. Hopefully he will get it all out and I won't have to worry about it. My cheek is a bit sore tonight and I will have to wear a band aid to school tomorrow. So I am sure the kids will be asking me about my band aid all day!

Have a great hump day!!!

September Round Up!

It is September Round up time over at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I used the adorable Happy Harvest stamp set. I colored this cute scarecrow in with my Copics and cut him out. The paper is SU! and Papertrey Ink. I cut 2 ovals out with my Nestibilities. I curved the sentiment to fit at the top of the oval. I love these felt leaves from Making Memories! I just added a button and twine to finish it off.

I'm gonna share a wee bit of aggravation with you. I have been putting off going to a dermatologist for a weird mole on my face. It has changed and bled, and I think I need to have it checked for skin cancer. So anyway, I call my insurance company to get an in network provider.....I call both numbers they gave me, and neither one takes my insurance! I call the insurance company back and tell them about this. They proceed to give me 2 more names. To make a long story short, I finally get a hold of a dermatologist. I made it a point to tell her the trouble I had getting someone to take my insurance....she puts me on hold for about 10 minutes, comes back and says, "Sure we take your insurance!" Now I am excited right? Even more exciting that that is they can get me in at 5:15PM. Great! I rush to get dinner ready, take part of Cort's dinner with (I'll feed her at the doc's office if need be) drive 35 minutes away, fill out all of the paperwork.......only to be told .....they don't take my insurance! ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS!? I drove all that way for NOTHING? I was sooooo mad!! On top of that my stinking gas light was on! UGH! .............ok, I just needed to vent.....thanks for listening.

Happy Tuesday!

Just a little 8 x 8 LO of my DS! It was one of those pics that captured him off cheesy grin! We were at the zoo and I called his name, he turned, and I snuck in a quick pic! I love that you can see his cute little dimple on his right cheek! I created this page using Noel's Homeroom kit. (Which is sold out, but she still has the Extra Credit kit....) I love all of the vintage papers lately.....and this kit had this page with the word, sun. I guess it was a cute play on words....sun/son....

I had a busy weekend. Brian and I had a date night Saturday. We were supposed to go to a wine festival, but it got rained out. So instead we went for a nice dinner, did a bit of shopping at the mall, and met friends for drinks and the college football game. Sunday, we visited with my mom and step dad for my birthday. They took us out to a great Italian restaurant! It was nice to catch up with them! We have been bailing our basement out because we had about 5-6 inches of rain in the last 48 hours.....too much for our sump pump to handle. Not that I am complaining....just explaining! : )

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!!
