High Hope's Moose!

Last weekend a bunch of us scrappin gals got together to stamp and scrap. These ladies are truly my support group! We all deal with special ed in some form or another. Anyway, I pulled out my Prismas and blew the dust off of them! It was fun to play while Sharon from Dew Drop in Designs hogged my Copics! (LOL!) I colored this cute moose from High Hopes Stamps. The paper was from K & Company. I also used some dew drops from Ellen Hutson's store. (Sharon had a blast using my dew drops......she couldn't wait to post them on her blog....Dew Drop In Designs....get it? Hee Hee!) I know, I am a complete dork, I think I am just giddy to have a 3 day weekend! I knew being a teacher would come in handy! Have a great weekend everyone!

Kids are so much fun aren't they?

First, a quick post about this card. I made it for Kyle's kid party. He is turning 11 in a couple of weeks and his request was to have a birthday sleep over with a few close friends. He informed me that it would be a "crazy, gaming party!" So what says games better than a Quickutz die game controller. Sort of looks like the Playstation controller. I cut it several times with grey, red, and orange and pieced it together. I outlined it with my thin black Copic marker. I used Karen Foster's Snap Stamps for the sentiment. I also used my Spellbinders circles for under the game controller. I wanted to keep this simple since it IS for boys! I think the rest is pretty self explanatory!

On to my kid story. My son had swim last night. He has always worn ear plugs because he had tubes twice. He is so paranoid about getting water in his ears! So he comes home from swim and tells me that it feels like there is something in his ear......I take a flashlight and peer in. What do I see? Fluorescent orange in his ear canal! Part of the ear plug was stuck in there! (You know the kind that come in bright colors and are very squishy? Those are the ones I am talking about.) So anyway, I call my sister the nurse, and she says, " I don't know how they are gonna get that out of there!" Gee thanks, that's encouraging! He didn't seem to be in any pain, so we waited until today to go to the doctor. Being the kind mother I am, I sent him to school. (I did write his teacher a note, in case his ear started hurting!) So anywhoo, we went, the doc seemed a bit perplexed and asked, "How does one get an earplug stuck in his ear?' He struggled to get it out because of the squishiness.....I was getting concerned. I actually was having wild thoughts....like what if this kid needs surgical removal of this earplug? What if the doc pokes out his eardrum and he becomes deaf? Needless to say, he DID get it out. The bad news was that since we waited the entire day, he has Swimmer's Ear. OK, so I don't get the Mother of the Year Award.......

My Prince Charming!

This is my cutie pie Prince Charming with the drawn on mustache! This is a two page layout that included pictures of the other cast members and the program. I cut the title with my Cricut. I used this pretty gold paper that my MIL gave me. I added some rhinestones to glitz it up a bit. I used some parts and pieces from the scrapbook kit I got from Noel Mignon's kit. (her stuff rocks!) Thanks for visiting today!!!

BBTB Challenge!

The challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the Paper Pups cartridge. We were supposed to use the poodle on page 91. I added a pom pon to her tail, flock to her legs, and rhinestones to her collar. The paper is from Crafty Secret's Radiant pad. The heart brads, chipboard heart, and stickers are from Making Memories.

I have a question.....I added the Stamping thingy in the lower corner. When I first added it a week ago, I was placed at 129, this morning I was 189, and now I am 190! Why would it change so much in a week? Maybe I need to take it off.........really bad for my self esteem! LOL!

A Valentine's Card & Blog Candy Winner!

I love using felt where I can on cards and such. Sometimes not sure where I can incorporate it. Here I used an OLD Sizzix pocket die cut. I did some sewing on this glittery, red, felt, pocket. (How's that for some adjectives!) The ribbon is from Fresh Paint. I used SU! paper. Not sure where the polka dot paper is from. I also used red chipboard hearts. I distressed those. I added some smaller punched hearts that were from Doodlebug's line of glittery paper. I also used a heart stick pin and added a few beads to it. Last but not least there are some stickers and a rhinestone!

My blog candy winner is ..........CATHY!

Great blog! Wow count me in on this sweet candy! I've subscribed through google reader. A little bit about me...um...um...I'm a blog surfer and just love to make cards, altered items, and anything that doesn't move. I lost my job in August due to consolidating, so I'm trying to find a new one. Not going so good, but I know there is something out there for me! I have 2 daughters and a husband and still love me even with my obsession with stamping. Thanks for a chance at the AWESOME candy.

Congratulations!

Thank you so much to all that left comments! I am so glad I got to meet some new people as well as get to a little about those of you I have known for awhile!
