Oh Happy Day It's Friday!

It has been a bit of a rough week, and I am just glad it is Friday. Today, I took Cortney in to the doctor for a scrape on her inner foot. She hurt it in the wave pool in Disney 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, it has been slow to heal and very red. I am kicking myself that I didn't take her in earlier this week. The doc did say it was infected and took cultures of it. There is some suspicion that it could be a staff infection. We won't know the results until Monday, so in the meantime he put her on a topical antibiotic. He may add an oral antibiotic on Monday when the results come back. I am definitely having some "Mommy guilt."

Tonight the "Divas" are getting together for a much needed stamping night. This fun group includes: Sharon (Dew Drop Inn Designs), Kim (My Angel Inspirations ) , JoAnne (My Adventures in Cardmaking) , Simone (Daily Dose of Spazz) , Lynda, and myself. We always have a great time together! And after the week I had, I can't wait!

Alrighty, on to the card. I have made a couple of purchases (I use the word "couple" loosely....) in the last month. One being this SU! DP and the other being this Papertrey tree set. (And I won't mention any other things I may have bought.....) The colors are a bit unconventional, but I really like them together! I had a couple of extra trees, so I decided to use them for a little plastic box and fill it up with some Christmas treats for the recipient!

Hope all of you have a fantastic weekend!

Some Orange Paper.....

I had some scraps of orange paper laying on my desk....(If you could only see my desk right now! ) and had this brainstorm to make pumpkins out of the scraps. I tore them and stitched them using my sewing machine. I layered them and added some ribbon from SU! and buttons. The paper was from Noel Mignon's Ghost Story kit. (only one left!!!) The stamp is pretty old, and off hand I don't remember who it is by. I cut the little "fence" with my Martha Stewart border punch. That little puffy spider is by KI Memories. I tell myself that that is why my room looks like a bomb hit it......for INSPIRATION! (Yea right) : )
Didn't know spiders could be this cute!
Has anyone ever read the Time Traveler's Wife? I am so engrossed in this damn book that I haven't scrapped in 3 days! (The horror!)

Well off to give Cort a bath and hopefully make a card or something!
HAve a GREAT night!

Pictures!

Tonight was one of those crazy run around type of nights! Kyle had to go to the dentist because he cracked his filling.....little did he know that the dentist was going to pull the tooth! Poor thing was numb all night! Cortney had her first cheerleading class tonight. Isn't that cool? She got pom poms and everything! She will even get a cheerleading outfit......imagine the photo possibilities! After that, Kyle had his awards night for Boy Scouts. (Mouth still numb...) I dropped him off and had a haircut. (The new pic to the right was before my haircut.....I just styled it differently for the wedding!) It is now 10:00 PM and I am seriously pooped!

I have been trying to edit my photos from Disney and came across these pictures. There is something about these sweet expressions that really tug at my heart. My children are growing up so fast....and it makes me a bit sad.

Now before you start thinking my son a bit strange....keep in mind we stayed at the Polynesian! He was trying to be silly! I do love his face in the picture!
I have such a difficult time getting nice pictures of Cortney.....between the drool, her nystagmus, poor head control.....etc... Her an I were waiting for the boys to get off Space Mountain in the evening and I decided to play around with my camera. She was so intently listening to everything around her that I got lucky with this photo! I think it is one of the pretties pics of her, that I have ever taken.
Those amazing blue eyes.....

This picture was not edited at all in Photoshop.....it was just THAT HUMID in Florida!!!

Sorry no cards today........ : )

Off to bed!

More Elzybells and JustRite!

I have been pulling out some of my cutie stamps from last year and create with them again! I adore this little Elzybell's mouse! I colored him in with my Copics. I added texture paste to the branches and sprinkled it with glitter while it was still wet. I also added Crystal Effects to the ornament. The paper is DCWV and SU! The button and felt snowflakes are also SU! The sentiment is from JustRite's Christmas Stamp Ensemble.

I am so excited to have made it to the finals over at JustRite! I have one card entry as well as my cocoa bags for the project portion. If you would like to vote for your favorite card and project head HERE and HERE to pick! All of the projects are fantastic!

Halloween Sour Cream Containers!

I needed some favors for Cortney's classroom and decided on these easy peasy "sour cream" containers. I used Noel Mignon's Ghost Story kit and some of my own ribbon. I filled them up with sweet treats for the kiddos. If you would full instructions on how to make these, head on over to Noel's Tips & Technique's blog.

***Can you believe it is almost 5:00PM and I am still lounging in my PJ's?! Can you say LAZY Sunday?!
