Halloween!

It is September now, and even though it is still in the upper 80's here, my mind is already drifting towards fall. So many exciting changes in the next couple of months.  My son is graduating the Navy's Nuclear Power School at the end of September.  And then, he is getting married on October 28th.  Crazy how the last couple of years have changed our lives immensely.
I am definitely in fall mode and cranking out some fun Halloween cards.  This witch is part of the So Witchy stamp set from Whimsy.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her out.
The background was created using the Broken Web embossing folder on black paper.  I swiped it with a white ink to make it pop a bit.  I added a piece of black and white polka dot paper from the 6 x 6 Mix n Match Neutrals.  I literally hoard every scrap of this paper! Orange twine and a few orange enamel dots were added as a finishing touch.
Wishing you a very happy holiday weekend!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Hello and good morning!
Today is Whimsy Stamp's new release! I hope you love Halloween! So many fun spooky, and not so spooky products available! For today's card I used this awesome Drippy Frame Die.  I cut it in red card stock, inked the edges in Black Soot, and gave it a coating of glossy accents.  I inked up a piece of water color paper in various shades of Distress Oxide inks and stamped my sentiment from the Trick or Treat House set.
I cut out the drippy frame again with crafty foam and glued it under my cardstock frame.  I adhered it directly over the sentiment.  I felt I needed a little "something, something" so I added a black cat from the Build a Graveyard Die set.  I attached everything to the cobweb paper from the Haunted Graveyards 6 x 6 paper pack.  As a finishing touch I glued a scattering of red sequins from the Freshly Picked Cherries Confetti Mix.
Be sure to pop by Whimsy Stamps to see the full release! So many fun Halloween items!
Have a great day my friends!

Halloween Birthday

Hello friends!
I have a Halloween birthday card to share today using Whimsy Stamp's new Boo Day stamp set.  My future daughter in law's birthday is right on Halloween, so I made this with her in mind. :)
I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers.  I chose the smaller images so I could use the balloon dies from the Happy Hamsters Outline Die set.
The background was embossed using Bats Galore.
I added a strip of black and white polka dotted paper from the Mix n Match Neutrals paper pack.  (I am obsessed with this paper! I keep every single scrap of it!) I added a few gold sequins from the Bokeh Bliss Confetti Mix and called it finished! :)
I will be back tomorrow with Whimsy's new release! Be sure to stop by! :)

Enjoy Life

Well, hello friends!
I made it through my first week of school! Yay me! ;)
I would be lying if I said I wasn't exhausted though.  Getting up at 5 AM and being on my feet all day, did me in! Guess this 'ole body just needs to get used to it again!
I have a card using some older products from Whimsy Stamps.  I love all the new stuff, but sometimes my older sets need some love too.
I used the Build a Fairy Garden Die set. Some of it was cut from colored card stock and some was colored with Copic markers. This scene was so cute it needed to be framed. So I used the Sprinkles Scallops Rectangle Dies.
The sentiment is from the Good Luck Flowers stamp set.   For a finishing touch I added a few sequins and some clay flowers from the Spring Buzz Confetti Mix.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day!

For The New Mom!

Most new mom cards are sweet and cute and celebrate those sweet babies...this one is packed with snarky humor that we can all relate to. Babies ARE cute, but they are also exhausting little humans. ;) I remember those many, many sleep deprived nights.  Of course now I kind of miss those days!  So for the tired mom with a sense of humor, this is the perfect card.
This set is part of Whimsy Stamp's Mombie.  It was colored with Copics.
I kept the card simple and just added a red frame around the image.  The frame is part of the 3 in 1 Mitered Frames Die.   I tied black yarn around the frame to give it a pop of black and called it done.
A short post today using minimal supplies!
Thank you for stopping by today!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Yesterday was Whimsy Stamp's new release and unfortunately my post didn't go live when it was supposed to.
I was in Michigan celebrating my future daughter-in-laws Bachelorette party.  It was a lot of fun, but I am pooped! So I apologize for the card not posting when it should have! ;)
I created a slimline card using the new Wizard in Training Stamp set.   I colored it using Copics and used the coordinating dies
The background was done with the Brick Stencil.   I used the moon and stars to finish off the card. They are part of the Over the Moon Confetti Mix.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps to see the full release!

Thank You so Much!

Hello my friends!
How are you doing?
School is starting next week, so I've been in my room this week getting things ready for they new year! The summer flew by as always, but I am ready to get back to teaching and being with the kids again!
I have a slimline card to share with you today using minimal supplies from Whimsy Stamps.  I used this gorgeous paper from the Slimline Flower Puff collection. I cut the sentiment directly into this beautiful paper using the Thank You so Much Word die.  To get the dimension, I cut the sentiment using craft foam and gluing it underneath the paper.  I glued it back in place, added glossy accents to the words, and sprinkled some clear coarse glitter on top.
I added a few flowers and leaves from the Grass Frames Die set and the Jungles Frames Die set. A few stars and gems were adhered to finish off the card.
A new release is right around the corner! But be sure you've seen Whimsy Stamp's earlier release! :)
