My Funny Valentine

Good morning!
I am on my second snow day as we saw about 10 inches of snow over the last 36 hours!
It was a crazy amount of snow, but fortunately, I was able to work from home and not risk driving in it.
Today I have a Valentine's Day card using some fun new Whimsy Stamps! It was fun and a bit experimental. I have been using the metal dies as stencils. (Yesterday's post too!) I Gesso'd vintage book paper to a blue gingham paper from the 6 x 6 Mix n Match collection.  I then used the Slimline Hearts Background Die as a stencil with Crackle Texture Paste.
Once it was dry I added some random water colors over it.  This adorable little pup is from the Doggie Valentine Friends.  I used my Zig Clean Color Markers and fussy cut him.   I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and cut the end at an angle.

Vintage Malarkey

Hello my sweet friends!
I have a St. Patrick's Day card to share today using the new Malarkey Word Die from Whimsy Stamps.  I love that this set comes with the hat too.  I went back to my comfort zone and went a bit vintage.  I used water colors and paint splatters for the hat.  The word was cut using black card stock and green glittery paper.  I offset them a bit so it would pop off the card.
For the background I used old vintage paper, my sewing machine for some wonky stitching, and I used the new Slimline Shamrock Background die.  But I decided to use it as a stencil with crackle texture paste  I love the interest it gives to the background.  It just makes you want to reach out and touch it! I added a few confetti pieces to finish off the card.  And by the way, these are so delicious in person!

Have a great day. :)

Feel Better

Hello my friends!
I have a fun slimline shaped card using the new Big Boo Boo die set, from Whimsy Stamps.  I love that this card is the shape of a Band-Aid! It just makes me smile looking at it..  :) I wanted the center to sort of act as a frame, for this adorable image and sentiment. These cutie pies come from the Gnome Think Spring set.  I stamped them with a no line ink and used my Zig Clean Color Markers.
I added a few extra Band-Aids, hearts, and a sentiment from the Big Boo Boo stamp set

Rainbow Band Aids!

Hello and happy Thursday to you! It is crazy that it is already January 20th!
That means it is Whimsy Stamp's release day!
I have a card today that uses only dies. No stamping! GASP!
I used the new die set called, Slimline BooBoo.  I chose rainbow order because nowadays Band-Aids come in all sorts of fun colors! Gone are the days of boring beige Band-Aids! The centers of the Band-Aids were cut using water color paper and a light flesh colored Zig marker.
The frame and the sentiment in the center are from the Slimline Heartbeats Die released earlier this month.

Elephant Love

Hello my crafty friends!
Today is take two of the new Elephantastic set by Whimsy Stamps.  I realized when I was uploading the photos here that I used the same color scheme.  I must be on a pink and blue kick these days.  :)
The image was stamped with a no line ink and colored with my Zig Clean Color Markers.  The image was cut out using the Nested Hexagon set. For the layered pieces behind the image, I used the Quilted Rainbow Inlaid Die.
I used some bits of flowers, hand cut leaves, and ribbon to dress up the top a bit. (All from my stash....and believe me....my stash seems to forever grow!) ;)
Thank you for stopping today my friends!

Shaker Card!

Hello!
I have a shaker card today using this adorable new set from Whimsy Stamps, Elephantastic Elephants. I stamped the image on water color paper and inked it with a no line ink.  I used my Zig Clean Color Markers to bring the image to life.  Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it in white.
To create the shaker I used the Rounded Rectangle die, placed acetate behind it and placed it over the image filled with the new Cozy Winter Confetti mix. (Which by the way I am obsessed with all of these Confetti Mixes! I could just stare at them, they are so pretty!)
I adhered the shaker/image on a FaDoodle Scalloped Frame, and then placed it on a piece of the Mix n Match patterned paper.  A sheer bow was the finishing touch.
I always appreciate your visits!
Thank you so much!

Thank You Nurses!

Happy January 10th to you!
Today is Whimsy Stamp's New Release.  During the last couple of years our medical personal have been on the front lines battling this Pandemic. I have many nurses in my life and knew I wanted to thank them for their sacrifice. I used two new dies sets, Slimline Heartbeats Die and the Stethoscope Die. I shortened my stethoscope a bit to accommodate my card.
I kept my card pretty simple.  I added a bit of glossy accents and glitter to the hearts and that is about it!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
