Crafty Secrets and Blog Candy Winner!

I don't know about anyone else, but I have a hard time remembering where I post stuff. I am praying I didn't post this card here, only at SCS. If I did......then go ahead and head off to someone else's blog! LOL! Does anyone else have trouble? OR is it just me?

Well if you've decided to humor me and stay through this post......then let me give you the deets on this card. I used Crafty Secret's Sew Special set. I colored the image twice with Copics, and placed pop dots between the layers for some dimension. I was given some old patterns for sewing and decided to incorporate that into my background.

The tissue paper is fairly thin so I glued the edges to a piece of card stock and then sewed that to the black card stock. I added some black tulle to her skirt along with a ribbon and rhinestone. To create the skirt, I cut a piece of rectangular tulle, folded it over and did a loose straight stitch. When you get to the end, you pull the thread until it is gathered to the waist size you need. I wanted to add a sentiment but didn't want to cover up the background so I opted for a simple tag "grounded" on a red piece of ribbon.
Now for the blog candy winner............

Kyle picked # 42 ..... CREATIVE MOMMA!!

This is one of the most creative cards I have ever seen! I love the idea of using old patterns for your background paper, and the tulle is fabulous too!
