Buckle Up! 8, Yes 8 Cards to Share Today!

Hello friends!
Don't faint, but I have 8 cards to share with you today!
My sweet MIL who passed this past July loved giraffes.  She collected them, and I inherited some of them.  When I saw this new Quick card set, Heartfelt Giraffes, from Whimsy Stamps, I knew each image had to be made into a card.
The first two cards uses the Wavy Pierced Rectangle dies.  I used Tim Holtz's Metallic Jewels Kraft Cardstock.  I sanded the edges and then inked them up with brown ink.  I added some die cut hearts from the new Field of Flowers die set. Red Twine was added to each and a sentiment to finish off the cards.

The next 5 cards use the Mix and Match Scallop Rectangle Dies.   I popped up some of the panels with Crafty Foam Tape, added a sentiment and a ribbon.
The next four cards are similar to the one above, but I did incorporate more of the Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft paper.  I also changed the ribbon to twine and some coffee stained red ribbon.

This last shaker card was so fun to make! I added a layer of the acetate behind the frame, added my shaker beads, a scattering of hearts and some coffee stained ribbon.
One last look at all 8 cards!  I LOVE this set so much!!!

Thank you for stopping by!
Check out Whimsy Stamp's new release! I will be back soon with other creations from this release.

Winter Friends!

Hello friends!
It's been a minute since my last post. I went back to school and it has thrown my whole schedule off! LOL.  I actually have been creating quite a bit, but am not on my computer as much lately.  So here I am with a fun wintery card to share!
It is perfect timing with our frigid temps in the Chicago area.
I used Whimsy Stamp's Winter Friend's set.  It is an adorable set! Just look at that snowman's face!
Everything was colored with Copics and then I ink blended the background.  The image was given a splattering of white paint. I used a large circle die to frame the image.  A bit of machine stitching and a vintage ribbon were the finishing touches.
I WILL be back tomorrow with Whimsy's new release! Stay tuned!
Have a great day!

Cappy Birthday!

Hello friends!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Ours was good, but much different this year, as we were one less. The "firsts" are always difficult.
I have two fun birthday cards to share with you today. They both use Whimsy Stamp's Cappy Birthday stamp set.   Copics were the medium of choice for both cards.  I created some depth with a black colored pencil.  A bit of grass, shadows, and sky were added.  I used the Inverted Scallops die to frame the image.  A pink bow and gold music charm were my finishing touches on this first card.
For my second card, I stamped additional balloons and fussy cut them out.  This cutie was also colored with Copics and then cut out. I adhered everything to a navy blue background and added some stars and white gel dots. A bit of machine stitching to add interest, and   topped off with gold ribbon.

Last Minute Christmas Cards

Hello friends!
I am knee deep in cooking today for Christmas Eve.  I am taking a little break to post a few Christmas cards I created.
This first one was made using Whimsy Stamp's Quick Cards, Woodland Santa.  I know I say this every time, but these images are so beautiful.  But I gotta be me and fancy it up a bit more.  I created a shaker card using the Inverted Scallops Die.  The frame was adhered to acetate and popped up with some crafty foam tape.  I finished it off with some rustic twine and a couple of jingle bells.
My second card is so silly and fun and uses the Snow Over it! Living in Illinois, we have already had a ton of snow and super cold temps and it's only December!  How will we survive another 3 months of this? So this was a card after my own heart for sure! I created a scene with all of the images. I used the  Polka Dot Stencil for the background along with some snowflakes die cut from the Elegant Snowflakes and Border Die set.  I finished the card off with twine. :)
Have a very Merry Christmas!!
Thank you for always stopping by!

Whimsy Stamp's Quick Cards

Hello friends!
Busy, busy, busy!
In the midst of shopping, parties, etc, I have found a bit of time here and there to sneak away to my craft room.  Whimsy Stamp's Quick Card Fronts for the win! For my first card I used the Chilly Penguins. The images are so pretty by themselves, but I've never been one to leave things alone.  LOL. So I added some snow flakes.  These are from the Elegant Snowflakes and Border die set.  The snowflakes were glittered using glossy accents.  I tied a bit of rustic twine, jingle bells, and a few plastic leaves I had in my stash.
My second card also uses the Chilly Penguins set.  I added a snowflake, a bit of red gingham ribbon, some leaves, and the sentiment.
I have a few more cards to share before Christmas, so stay tuned! :)
Have a wonderful week!

Christmas Treat Box

Hello friends!
I know it has been awhile.  I have been creating a lot but finding with this time change, that taking pictures is a challenge.  By the time I get home from school, it's already getting dark.  :(
And of course life doesn't stop....it's always busy.
I love these new Washi Stickers by Whimsy Stamps.  I had an old scalloped squared die that I cut the sticker into.  I used the Mini Treat Box Die with red paper and inked the edges in brown.  The box was assembled and I cut a piece of chocolate brown paper to fit the top of the box.  I adhered the Washi sticker.  Twine and jingle bells were tied as a finishing touch.
Thank you for hanging in there with me! I always appreciate your visits!

A Mouse and an Elf

Hello friends! I just wrapped up my first trimester at school and heading into conferences next week.  I will be glad for a few days off to recharge and spend time with family. If this year has taught me anything, is to not take loved ones for granted.

I have two Christmas projects to share with you using lots of Whimsy products
This adorable mouse is part of the Christmas Portraits stamp set.  It was colored with Copics and cut out using  the Pierced and Stitched circle die  I decided to make a gift box to be able to give to a coworker.  It uses the Hexagon Treat Box Die.  I covered the box with glossy accents and sprinkled it with clear glitter.   I added a satin bow, a little posy, and a gift tag.
This next project uses the Elven Tags Die Set.  It is perfect for cards, tags, and would make a cute bookmark too!  I cut all the pieces and colored them with Copics. I added the candy stripes using the Terrific Tickets Shadows and Patterns Stencil. As a finishing touch, I added string and a jingle bell.  Everything is better with a jingle bell.  LOL.
Thank you for stopping by today! I really appreciate your visits!
