Merry Stressmas

I love Christmas and everything it means, but if I am honest, I also find it stressful.
It is a busy and hectic time of the year.  So hopefully you can relate to my card today!
This set is from Whimsy Stamps and it is called, Merry Stressmas.  I used Copics to color him in and added some of the sentiments around him.  I also used liquid applique for his hot cocoa and some glitter for the snow.  I used the Holly Frame die and some of Tim Holtz metallic green paper.  I gave it a bit of sanding to distress the edges a bit.  Twine and jingle bells were added as a finishing touch.
Have a wonderful week!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Hello friends!
Not sure how many people actually come here for a visit, but I am hoping a few still do.  ;) Today is Whimsy Stamp's new release.  Their new stamp set called, Cow Crazy is adorable! I colored this CC (Cute Cow) with Copic Markers.  I cut the image out using the new Loopdidoos 3 die cut.  I added the word Yikes as part of the sentiment.  To add just a bit of interest to the background, I used the Brick Pattern Stencil.
If you haven't yet seen the new release, be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps!
Thank you for coming by!

Lava Lamp Card

Hello friends!  Whimsy Stamps just came out with some fun new products! Being a child of the 70's this lava lamp die was right up my alley! I have a thing for shaped cards anyway, so I had a lot of fun creating this one. I used the new Good Vibes Die set for my sentiment.  I colored it with Copics and gave it a coating of glossy accents. The background paper is from the Lava Slimline pack.
I added a piece of acetate to the front and adhered it to the lava paper using Crafty Foam Tape to create the shaker.  The little flowers are from my stash, but felt they fit the retro vibe perfectly!
Thank you for stopping by! :)

Primitive Blessing Card

Hello friends!
I have a quick post today.  (Is there any other kind lately with me?) My card uses the Primitive Quick Card fronts from Whimsy Stamps.  The images are so colorful and fun! I made it a bit more vintage by tearing the edges, machine stitching and adhering bits of lace behind the tears.  I added a bit of gingham ribbon, some old buttons, and attached it to a black card.
Thank you for continuing to visit here.  I know lately my posts are sporadic. :)

The frame and the jack-o-lanterns were painted with some glow in the dark paint. I used the glow in the dark foil and die cut it with a circle die to create the moon behind the witch. I think it looks so cool at night!

So many fun projects on the hop!

Couple of Halloween Cards!

Hi friends!
I have a couple of Halloween cards using Whimsy Stamps, to share today.  Life has been hectic and getting on my computer these days has been tricky.  So I will be playing a bit of "catch up" over the next week.
My first card uses the Dreamland 2 Quick Card Fronts.  These images are so vibrant that not much is needed to create a card.  I did add a sentiment, twine, and a few bats from the Bat Branch Die Set.  It was a simple card and quick to put together!
My second card uses the BOOkeh papers and the Keyhole and Keys Die set.  I grunged it up with grit paste and rubbed it with a gold Distress Crayon.  The witch is part of the Witch Whispers Sister Die set.  I sprayed her with some mica stains (Tim Holtz) to give her some shimmer.  The sentiment is from the Scary Night die set.  I cut it out of red paper and inked the edges with black ink.  I gave it a coating of glossy accents.

I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments.  Even when I am super neglectful of this blog of mine.  :) Thanks for hanging in there with me!
