RAK from Michelle Weaver and some pics!

I came home from the Dells and got a package in the mail from Michelle Weaver. Her blog is called: Princess Matilda Loves to Stamp! She enclosed this gorgeous card! I think she used the Twinkling H2O's on the butterfly! It is even more magnificent in person! She also included some beautiful stamped images from Thomas Kinkade! I can't wait to color these! She also had some images of a cute Pug, cuz she knows I have one of these crazy dogs! In addition to all of that, I got some pretty stamps. She is so very generous....Thank you Michelle!

Here are some pics from the Dells! This little guy is just 2 today! Happy Birthday Alex! Can you believe what a little Dare Devil he is? He went down the slides just like the big boys! He has no fear this child! (Don't worry, there was an adult at the bottom to catch him!)

We also blew bubbles...cuz what little kid doesn't love bubbles? (OR a big 10 year old kid?)

Here are some misc. pictures of Kyle in the game room!
This picture was taken at Moose Jaws~ A Dells favorite!

We went pee wee golfing. These 2 had a blast at my expense! (Let's just say I am a sucky golfer!)

I'm Baaaaaack!

It is Wednesday night, and I am totally pooped! We spent way tooo much time in the sun swimming! I love going to Wisconsin Dells every year with my Mom and my Step Dad. The kids have fun swimming, going out to eat, swimming, playing pee wee golf, swimming, playing arcade games, swimming.....you get the picture! My sister met us there for the day today with her 2 little ones. My nephew is turning 2 tomorrow and my niece Katie is 6 weeks old. Alex the 2 year old is such a dare devil! He was going down all the slides! No fear at all! I will post some happy mail I got from Michelle Weaver....tomorrow! As well as some pics of our mini get away!

I am going to post this card quick like cuz it was supposed to be posted Monday.... This was for the challenge over at Bitten by the Bug. You were to use the wheelbarrow from the Walk in my Garden Cartridge. Here is my take on this challenge. I used the "wood" method. (Don't think this is really what this technique is called, but as I said, I am pooped!) I took the white craft ink and then swiped the brown ink over it to give it a faux wood look. I then cut out the wheelbarrow using my Cricut. The DP is from Basic Grey. The sentiment Happy is from Heidi Swapp. The word Fall is from My Favorite Things. The apples are from a SU! set...and at the moment can't remember what the set is called. I colored the apples with my PRismas and Gamsol, then added Crystal lacquer to them. I also sewed on this card and did some distressing. It still needed something, so I added some photo corners and buttons to dress it up a bit! Well, I will be back tomorrow....will post more then...I am going to go to bed and catch some zzzzz's!

I'm Scrappin again and going on vacation!

This is a page I created for my new niece Katie. Isn't she the cutest? The paper is by Creative Imaginations...I am totally addicted to this paper...if you haven't noticed! I use it on everything. I added her name and birthdate with my Adobe photoshop. The large pearl K is from the dollar bin at Michael's! I had originally bought it because my last name is Kovack. But it just worked with this page. The other patterned paper is by Daisy D's. I did sew alot on this page....the only problem is my paper started to buckle.....how the heck do ya fix that? So in person it does bow a bit in the middle...oh well!

I am leaving for Wisconsin Dells this weekend and returning next week! I sure hope all of you have a great weekend! In The Pool

Girlfriends! A necessity of life!

I love this Girlfriends stamp from SU! I stamped it in black Palette Noir ink. I colored the gals in with my Copics. The paper is Bazill and have no idea where this patterned paper came from...it is REALLY old. I think I got it from Michaels eons ago! You know how in the past they NEVER changed their paper? EVER? Anyway, added some pink ink to the scalloped and circle punch. The pink flowery edge was done with my Fiskars punch. The brads are from Making Memories. (Their Christmas line if ya wanna believe it!)

So to all my new blogging friends....this one's for you! Thank you for making me feel good about me and my creations! You ROCK!

Help me decide on a picture of Cortney! & a picnic card!

I went to a great place for pictures today called A Bit of Charm. It is in Tinley Park, IL. These ladies spent so much time with Cortney! As most of you know Cortney has Cerebral Palsy. She had such a hard time keeping her body upright, her eyes straight and NOT showing everyone her tonsils! (Not a pretty sight!) I think I've narrowed it down to these 2. Not sure which one I like better. Please help me choose!

I stamped some images from my good friend Sharon, over at Dew Drop Inn Designs. I colored this little lady in with my Copics. ( I have no idea what the name of this SU! set is! If you know please tell me!) I used crystal lacquer on the seeds to give it some dimension. The paper is Daisy D's and Creative Imaginations. I inked the edges with Sahara Sand. The twine was in my stash. I tied it right through the button! I did make another Christmas card...so maybe tomorrow I will post that one!

Getting on the Bandwagon with wintery cards!

I have been seeing so many winter/Christmas cards lately that I gave in to peer pressure and made one myself!

The cute snowmen are from Stampendous! I colored these guys in with my Copic markers. The DP is from KI Memories. I also cuttlebugged the blue paper, then sanded it. I used my sewing machine to stitch the small circular paper on to the blue embossed paper. The pink paper is by SU! The snowflake in the corner is by Quickutz. I glitzed it up by adding some glitter and a rhinestone. I had some left over sequins from my daughter's communion dress 4 years ago! So I glued them on to look like snow! I also used clear glitter on the ground...don't know who it is by cuz it was just in a little clear baggie.

Thanks for all your kind comments yesterday.....I guess we really are our own worst critics!

A Scrapbook Layout that got one lousy vote...my own!

I made it to the 25 finalists at Carolinez Delightz and had to submit another layout using only ribbon, cardstock, and paint. I was so pleased with how this layout turned out.....and yet it only received one vote on the forum....my own. I was so sad that no one really liked it! So obviously I didn't make it to the next round! I think this was a particularly hard blow, only because I did submit my work to the Memory Makers Masters Challenge and now I am feeling like there is NO WAY I have a chance! There was a small part of me that dreamed of getting that call that I had made it....

I guess I won't quit my day job....LOL! I think I will stick to teaching...
