Whimsy Stamp's February Release!

Good morning!  In case you were worried I did manage to survive the polar vortex here in Chicago! For two days we hunkered down and stayed indoors.  I got caught up with cleaning, laundry, and actually managed to cook a couple of homemade meals. :)

I am excited to share a bunch of new products just released from Whimsy Stamps! I used this gorgeous background stamp called, Spiral Roses .  It was stamped in a soft gray. I cut the rectangle and circle using the new Peekaboo Window die.
I cut the sentiment out of a soft blue card stock using the new Smile Large Word die.  I stamped the happy birthday sentiment on black paper using the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set! I then embossed it in white and cut it into a strip. I threaded it through the Smile die cut and adhered it to the circle using Crafty Foam tape.
The leaves were cut using the Peony die set. I love the pop of green against all of the pastel colors. For my finishing touches I added a silk flower and threaded buttons in the center.  I added a few iridescent sequins and the card was finished!
You are going to love this month's release! Here are a few of the products I used today on my card!
Have a great weekend!

Pretty in Pink!

 BRRRRRR!
Chicago is in a deep freeze right now!
It makes me extremely grateful for my warm home!
What's a girl to do when it is so bitter outside? It's a rhetorical question of course.....because we all know the answer is CRAFT!
I used Whimsy Stamps, Wonky Die to create the background, as well as Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide to give it a pretty shade of pink. I splattered it with water and blotted it to give it a more interesting look.
I stamped the sentiment using the You're Too Kind stamp set and gold embossing powder.
The flower was created using the Peony Flower Die.   I gave the leaves a bit of color with Tim Holtz's Cracked Pistachio Oxide ink.
To add sparkle to the flower and leaves I gave them a thin coating of glossy accents and sprinkled them with Glamour Dust glitter.
I added a few fun details, like gold twine, and used the gold droplets for the center of the flower, from the Sparkletz Coral Coast collection.  I added a few additional gold droplets using  Nuvo's Glitter Drops in Honey Gold.

I am so glad you stopped by today! If you are in the deep freeze with me, keep warm! And if you live in a warm climate, Enjoy!! :)

Whale of a Time!

Hi friends!
Michele here with a fun card sharing my card using Whimsy Stamp's Whale of a Time stamp set!
It is such a fun set to color and play with!
I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut each of the images.  I used Whimsy's new Wonky Window Die to create the background.   I paired it with glittery silver and blue paper.
I always seem to need thank you cards, so I incorporated the new Thanks Word and Shadow die.
I colored the top layer of the word with Copics to give it a gradient effect. I popped up the top two pieces on the back piece with Crafty Foam Tape.
I added a few touches of hot pink for contrast and used a few clear droplets from the Coral Coast Sparkletz collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Rainbows and Glitter!

Hello everyone!
I have a new card to share with you using Whimsy Stamp's new, You're Too Kind Clear Stamp set.
I wanted to make the sentiment the focal point of my card, so I decided that stamping in a rainbow order was the way to go!
Once stamped I added a bit of glossy accents to the bottom half of  each word and sprinkled Glamour Dust glitter over it.

For the background, I took the white paper and inked the background using the same colors I stamped the sentiment in. I just smeared it across the paper.  I got a bit crazy with the Glamour Dust glitter and maybe I should have a bit more self-control.....but I didn't. I "smeared" a bit of glossy accents along the edges and sprinkled more glitter to it.  I adhered the top panel with Crafty Foam Tape. I added a few coordinating rhinestones to finish it off.

I haven't posted about Cortney in awhile. She is coming up on her 3 year staffing at Misericordia in a couple of weeks.  I can't believe how fast these 3 years flew by.  She is healthy. Happy. She lives an incredibly full life and surrounded by people who respect and love her.  I can't express the peace of mind I have. She does yoga, water therapy, Special Olympics, rides a bike, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, sings in the choir twice a week, communications club, and goes on numerous outings in the community.
My heart is happy
because
my girl is
happy. :)
Thank you for stopping by today!

Angel Celeste

Good morning!
Hope you all had a great weekend! (And Monday!)
I have a new card to share today using Whimsy Stamp's Angel Celeste stamp. She is so incredibly sweet isn't she? She was colored with Copic markers.  (Colors listed below)
I added glossy accents to her wings and the stars and sprinkled it with Glamour Dust Glitter. This stuff is my weakness!  I love how sparkly it is!
I added a sentiment using the new die called, Thanks Word and Shadow. I gave it a bit more dimension by adding glossy accents to the word. The second part of the sentiment is part of the, You're Too Kind stamp set.  It is such a versatile set!
There are many different phrases you can come up with, which I LOVE!
Thank you for stopping by today!
Here are the supplies I used to create my card!
