Pretty in Pink!

 BRRRRRR!
Chicago is in a deep freeze right now!
It makes me extremely grateful for my warm home!
What's a girl to do when it is so bitter outside? It's a rhetorical question of course.....because we all know the answer is CRAFT!
I used Whimsy Stamps, Wonky Die to create the background, as well as Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide to give it a pretty shade of pink. I splattered it with water and blotted it to give it a more interesting look.
I stamped the sentiment using the You're Too Kind stamp set and gold embossing powder
The flower was created using the Peony Flower Die.   I gave the leaves a bit of color with Tim Holtz's Cracked Pistachio Oxide ink.
To add sparkle to the flower and leaves I gave them a thin coating of glossy accents and sprinkled them with Glamour Dust glitter.
I added a few fun details, like gold twine, and used the gold droplets for the center of the flower, from the Sparkletz Coral Coast collection.  I added a few additional gold droplets using  Nuvo's Glitter Drops in Honey Gold.

I am so glad you stopped by today! If you are in the deep freeze with me, keep warm! And if you live in a warm climate, Enjoy!! :)
